Awhile ago, I asked, if anyone knew about an authentic Greek Restaurant near Los Alcázares. Someone (forgot who) recommended Taste of Greece Yesterday we put the recommendation to the test. We were not disappointed, it was an absolute pleasure. When nearing …. the first thing I saw, was a friendly man, a smile from ear to ear by the name of Stavros. Stavros is thee born host representing outstanding hospitality. Stavros is friendly, chatty, witty and happy to explain everything on the menu. And this time and time again to new guests Alexandros the chef checked on us mid meal, as well. Don‘t remember the name of our waiter (young English man), who greets every guest with a ‚WELCOME to Taste of Greece.‘ Will check his name next time, because he deserves the same praise.

We found the food deliciously authentic, exceptionally fresh and full of flavor. Typically Greek. No need for condiments, if the chef knows what to do.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at A Taste of Greece in San Pedro del Pinatar Marina (Las Salinas Marina), and from start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience.

The food was exceptionally fresh and full of flavour, with a fantastic selection of authentic Greek dishes. The souvlaki—both chicken and pork—was perfectly cooked, and the dips and bread were, without a doubt, the best we've ever had. What truly set this place apart, though, was the outstanding hospitality.

Meeting Stavros was a joy—his passion for great service shone through in every interaction. He went out of his way to tailor our meal, even swapping out fish-based dips when we advised we didn’t eat fish. The chef also took the time to personally check in with us, offering thoughtful recommendations that led us to switch up our mains—a decision we definitely didn’t regret!

✨ A dinner with personality! The restaurant had a vibe that whispered, “We know what you want—trust us.” And me? I trusted. The starter? Absolutely stunning—if it were a contestant on MasterChef, I’d be clapping like a proud auntie. The rest of the meal tried to keep pace, bless its heart, but didn’t quite reach the same crescendo.

That said, the staff were lovely, with a knack for persuasive dish matchmaking—even if my taste buds weren’t completely smitten. Still, it’s a place with charm, warmth, and enough character to make me smile on the way out. Worth a visit, especially if you enjoy culinary conversations and being lovingly nudged outside your menu comfort zone.
