No tengo palabras para describir lo bien que he comido esta noche. De visita profesional a la ciudad, me alojaba en un hotel cercano y buscaba cualquier sitio para cenar. No podía imaginar comer así de bien y con tan buenos maridajes de vino, todo eso recomendado por Imanol, un genio en cuanto a customer experience con una energía contagiosa. Tenía pensado comer algo rápido e irme de vuelta al hotel pero después de ese trato y la calidad de los primeros pinxos que probé, acabé quedando durante dos horas disfrutando de más comida, otro vino (riquísimo) y los buenos consejos de Imanol. 4 pinxos caseras de tamaño grandes (croqueta de jamón, foie con compota de manzana, pulpo con patata y carrillera con puree ), pan muy fresca, aceitunas, dos copas de vino de alto nivel para un total de 27€. Todavía no me lo creo. Gracias a todos, volveré sin dudar y ya he recomendado todo mi entorno venir a probar cuando estén de visita a San Sebastián.

This bar really stands out for its excellence in food and wine. Very high standard for choice of wines by the glass and for food the Carrilleras was delicious. Clearly a very good chef in the kitchen. Also if the weather is good keep an eye out for the lovely terrace at the back.

Bar Cafetería famosa desde hace décadas en la primera zona de Amara. Decoración interior de madera , antigua pero interesante.Terraza a Plaza peatonal Ajardinada y Porticada,por lo que está bien los días de lluvia o de mucho calor.Los uncamareros atienden las mesas de la terraza. Excelente la ración de 🐙 pulpo al horno que está tierno y exquisito,con puré. También excelentes las Croquetas El pan muy tierno incluso al anochecer. Servicio amable,Público de la zona de Sancho el Sabio.

We are visiting San Sebastián for vacation from Toronto, and came to eat here because it was highly recommended to us by my friends’s older sister who ate here in 2024. We were not disappointed, and it was our best restaurant experience across all the cities in that we visited while in Spain. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, the food is prepared well and tastes amazing, and Emmanuel gave us the best service of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. He was warm and attentive, made recommendations to us based on our preferences and dietary restrictions, and staggered our dishes so that they wouldn’t overwhelm us and came out warm and fresh. He checked on us consistently, and helped us choose wine to complement our meals. Ok. It was a long day. We were tired. We were cranky. We stopped at Bar Agustin because it was close to our hotel and recommended by our guide. And then our wonderful waiter Imanol turned everything around. He recommended a WONDERFUL wine for me (Casa Vella) which was so good I bought the whole bottle. And then he brought me the most delicious pork ribs that I have EVER had. In.The.World. And my husband's octopus was crispy and caramelized just the way he likes it. So MUCHAS GRACIAS Bar Agustin and especially to Imanol for a fabulous dinner and kind, attentive, outstanding service....

Nice and clean small bar/restaurant, pleasant atmosphere. The waiter was a champion, not only that he could speak English (by surprise, not so common in a touristic place like San Sebastian / Donosta), his recommendations were really good and he made the whole evening even better. The food was excellent (Txuleton – Basq beef, cod, deserts for two couples) and with a bottle of nice wine from Ribera del Duero it was below 140 €, more than reasonable. Definitely worth...
