Akerbeltz — Restaurant in San Sebastián

We just happened to stumble across this bar walking around the marina . And thank god we did as although it’s a tiny bar , down a few steps , the staff are super friendly and it had a great community atmosphere . There is only 1 toilet , pretty much standard in Spain so be prepared to queue . The views are great and there’s loads of seating area and you can sit on the wall opposite the bar too for views of the marina . There’s a wide range of beers so will cater for all your needs but they don’t do food so be aware . Antonio behind the bar was very friendly and a great barman . Great beer. Nice spot to see the sun go down. Sadly very unfriedly service. I asked if there was anything to go with the beer. Chips or perhaps olives. He told me chips yes. But if I wanted anything else I should go away and go to a pintxo bar. "I am a beer spot" while he sighed loud behind the counter. While I can Imagine his reaction. It could be friendlier. Very nice craft beer bar with 4 taps and an assorted selection of cans & bottles to drink or take away. Hoppy beer selection is quite interesting and usually freshly canned; expect interesting picks from Cloudwater, Verdant, Deya...
