This place is outside of the typical tourist area. As a result, it has a very homey, local, laid back vibe. I found the place because it is 2 mins away from my family's appartment in San Sebastián. As a Canadian who's 70-80% fluent in Spanish, some places in the Casco Viejo hear my accent when I speak with them in Spanish and straight up answer me in English. The staff and owner of this place actually reply to me in Spanish, which makes me feel like family somehow. The pinxos are unpretentious, but made with the utmost quality ingredients and amazing attention to detail and care in their preparation. It's a great place to get an appetizer to start the night on the right foot, or even sometimes finish the night if it's not too late. Once, I arrived late. They had no more customers so the staff had pretty much finished packing away to close for the night.
