Vermutería La Sebastiana — Restaurant in San Sebastián

Having been to this bar since it opened it is very sad to see that the vermouth choice has reduced tremendously and that some of the pinchos are not as good as they used to be. But, probably the worse is how the service has gone downhill and the recent rules imposed by management do not make sense in a local bar. Same as many times in the past, we went for a pincho with our mum, who is 82 years old. Other times we were treated nicely, as we are a lot of people and we order 2 pinchos per head and drinks. But we were told that we couldn't sit down on the tables as someone had booked it for lunch 1h30 mins later. We were told that it was "too much of an effort to lay the table again for lunch". Laziness, was our guess. Another evening we went for dinner, and were told that we could only eat certain things, and not order plates and pinchos (as we have always done in the past). We were told in a not very polite manner. Not sure if what happens is that they do not want us to spend money there... Most of our friends have stopped going there, and now we understand why. It is a pity, it was a nice local...

Segunda vez que frecuento este lugar recomendado por unos amigos vecinos de amara. No sé si es por que no somos del barrio o la verdad que no lo entiendo. En primer el lugar es bastante bonito y acogedor y tiene una carta bastante atractiva. En nuestra primera visita reservé una mesa para las 21.15 un día a finales de Junio, la chica que nos atiende nos dice que nos cogía la reserva pero como que con prisa… llegamos allí pensando que estaba lleno y tenía 4 mesas en el interior y la barra llena…fue todo un poco incómodo, pensamos que tenían un mal día… y por eso hoy le dimos una segunda oportunidad.

Llegamos sin reserva preguntamos si podemos tomar algo y nos dice que si (la misma chica que la primera vez), nos sentamos en la barra del interior y ya que nos va atender, lo primero que nos dice que la carta de pintxos, le digo que veníamos solo a picar algo rápido y nos dice que nada solo la carta del restaurante, pues nada tuvimos que irnos para no volver. Una pena por qué la verdad que es un buen...
