FlyTcha's Brutally Honest Review of SOMOS BAKERY🥯 Let's talk about SOMOS BAKERY a place we walked into with high hopes and left with... mixed feelings.

Spoiler: It's not the new café of our dreams What went down? 🍵The matcha latte? If oat milk could scream, it would sound like this drink. No matcha flavor in sight.

Just warm, greenish milk pretending to be something it's not.

☕️The coffee? Generously giving it a 5/10. Emphasis on "generously."

🥪 The pastrami sandwich? Fine. Just fine. Definitely not the life-changing experience we were hoping for, but hey, it didn't ruin our day.

🍪The chocolate chip cookie? Now this was the MVP. Gooey, rich, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, it carried the entire experience.

The vibe🫀 Gluten-free menu? Cool.

Specialty café? Eh, let's pump the brakes on that label.

The space is nice, the staff is super friendly (shoutout to them for the smiles), but the overall execution?

Needs work.

SOMOS, we love the effort, but you're not quite there yet. We'll be rooting for you from afar... probably with a better cup of coffee in...

We came here for breakfast due to positive reviews. Service is good and coffee is nice but the food is absolutely horrendous! I ordered eggs Benedict and what i got was half a brioche bun with a tiny poached egg, a thin slice if ham and way too much runny Hollandaise sauce. It was the worst I’ve ever had and 11 euro, which is a crazy price! My son had the sandwich mixto and it would give you diabetes there was so much sugar in the bread! They seriously need to work on their food and pricing and cut out the overly sweet bread, not everyone...

Sinceramente, por su relación calidad-precio, este ha sido probablemente uno de los desayunos que más hemos disfrutado en la zona.

Huevos turcos: El sabor está conseguido, aunque personalmente me habría gustado un toque más picante, ya sea con el aceite de chilli u otra salsa.. Aun así, por el precio, la cantidad es generosa y no tengo nada negativo que señalar.

Tostada de aguacate: buena relación calidad-precio, no es "barato" que digamos, pero en Donosti(aldea) no te esperes milagros. Presentación impecable.

El café, sin embargo, no cumplió del todo con mis expectativas. No voy a mentir, esperaba un poco más de intensidad, ya que tenía un perfil más suave, como un café brasileño o colombiano de baja acidez. Personalmente, prefiero un café con más cuerpo, pero esta es solo mi opinión personal. A pesar de esto, la presentación fue excelente y el servicio atento, cercano y rápido.

Me cobraron 2,3€ por un cappuccino (tamaño pequeño, más que mediano) con leche de avena, lo cual, espero que se acordasen de que era de leche de avena (por sabor sí que parecía de avena), y de que ese fuera el precio. Porque si es así, el precio es muy competitivo.

El lugar estaba bastante lleno, especialmente siendo domingo con no muy buen tiempo, pero sorprendentemente encontramos sitio nada más llegar.

A partir de las 10:30, eso sí, ya había gente esperando para entrar. Sinceramente, no estoy seguro de si la espera está completamente justificada, considerando que hay opciones cerca como BB Kafe o Trikua que también valen la pena. Sin embargo, en cuanto a oferta, ambiente y servicio, este lugar es sin duda...
