EAT ME — Restaurant in Sant Antoni de Portmany

I had high hopes when I walked into this sushi place. The ambiance was surprisingly elegant and inviting, with dimmed lights and traditional Japanese decor. But alas, the appearance was the only thing that impressed me during my visit. Whereas the edamame was good, the rest was quite disappointing.

The fried ebi and vegetables were poorly fried and were cold and soft. The maki’s lacked in taste and which was tried to be compensated by adding a myriad of spices on top. The crab and spicy tuna maki’s only consisted of a little bit of seafood. Moreover, the prices were too high for the quality.

This place could improve by focusing less on the presentation and more on the actual quality of the food. Hopefully they will...

I came with my crew to the island to play records and passed by Okasan to have some drinks before our gig. Cocktails in this place are amazing! Best Espresso Martini i tried in a log time. Great selection of quality Tequila, Mezcal and Japanese beers that we enjoyed while listening a proper selection of music. I wish we had more time to try their sushi which looked delicious while their staff were serving the other guests. Friendly waiters and bartenders that made us feel like home. A really nice feel-good food spot specialising in burgers, hot dogs and tacos. Features a really good selection of dishes with toppings that work together well. Prices in line with most restaurants in the area and you can get unlimited fountain refill drinks too.
