Restaurant Pizzeria David's — Restaurant in Sant Antoni de Portmany

Two days ago, I went to this restaurant with one of my friends; at this moment we only fancied a few drinks, so I asked if that was ok. They did not seem very pleased at all, but reluctantly they said it was ok; however, we only had half an hour to have them because they were closing that area of the restaurant (one on the left with a few tables for two, but I guess that was a poor excuse because there were many other tables available on the right side). We decided to stay, anyway, and 10 minutes later one of the waitress sat a couple next to us; again a few minutes later, another couple came and they were offered a table next to us. We were surprised that happened after they were rushing and timing us to have our drinks in half an hour maximum! But of course, those couples wanted food not only drinks.... The food was really nice and fresh. We both got spaghetti and it was delicious, genuinely one of the best I’ve had in Ibiza and I’ve been coming here years. The portions are generous too, we both left full to the brim and we only had bread and aioli on the side and no dessert. The bread was also very fresh and I loved the aioli.

The staff were friendly too, our waiter quickly seated us while asking us where we wanted to sit. He also made sure our food was served how we liked and had a lovely presence.

The restaurant looks nice and has a cozy atmosphere, but my experience wasn’t great. The food was okay, but nothing special. Definitely not bad, but it just lacked that extra touch considering the price.

What really disappointed me was the service. I was waiting politely for a table, thinking that would be appropriate, but the waiter saw me standing there and didn’t say anything. Only when I picked a table myself did he approach me. It didn’t make me feel very welcome. The vibe wasn’t quite what I had hoped for.
