After nearly 20 years living and working, especially in corporate events in Barcelona, this is by far the worst customer service that I have ever received from an events venue. We enquired about hosting an event for 25 people and were told that they had lots of rooms that we could choose from to accommodate our specific requirements (DJ, scattered standing tables for pica pica and suitable for 25 people). Without showing any images of the room, or specifying any particular room, we were told that we had to provide a deposit of 300 euros or else we could not place any reservation, which we did. As the event got closer and still had not been assigned a room, we insisted on visiting the establishment, seeing the available rooms and selecting a suitable one from the "lots" that were available. We were shown only two rooms, one large room that we were told was normally only available for groups of 70 people, but could host a DJ and the table layout. The second we were told could not accommodate either a DJ or the desired table arrangement. No other option was presented. Before leaving we were told that the events coordinator was not able to confirm the availability of the first room, as they do not normally rent this room to parties of our size as it was too big, so she would need to seek her manager's approval, if we wanted that one. We said that we would take the full proposal for the event, consider it and confirm back the next day. Upon consideration, it was clear that a room designed for 70 people was totally unsuitable for 25 people, as all the desired social atmosphere would be lost. We then communicated this to the Masia, and as they told us that these were the only two rooms available, we requested a refund of our deposit due to their non-conformity with our specifications. Despite not being able to offer the solicited service and deceitfully insisting on a deposit for an unavailable service, the Masia have refused to return the deposit or offer any kind of alternative room or compensation, despite never having actually approved the allocation of any specific room for our event. The date of the event has now passed and we have still not had any refund. Further, the only communication received was to insist that despite their own admission during our tour to the contrary, that the room shown to us was appropriate. We have now submitted an official complaints form, for which nobody at the Masia could make themselves available to sign (which is a legal obligation on both parties) due to an internal meeting that they were not willing to step out from. We were told that it could be hours before they leave. This unfortunately is another clear example of how the Masia places a greater importance on their internal processes than they do on serving their customers, and it starts from the top down with not a single manager willing to sign the legal document when presented.
I will continue to pursue a legal recourse against this venue and will advise all companies and individuals that I deal with to avoid conducting their events...

Para empezar: Recepción está Carla, con ella un 10 fabulosa el trato y todo. La comercial Anna, pues sinceramente no sé qué puntaje ponerle pero menos de 5 seguro tenía que estar detrás de ella con muchos correos para que me respondiera los correos y preguntar si había quedado todo claro y como no me daba respuesta tuve que ir a la masía para que nos resolvieran las dudas en persona, ahí nos derivaron con otra comercial que sinceramente no recuerdo el nombre, nos atendió bien, nos explicó bien y como aprovechando que estuvimos ahí probamos el menú y nos gustó, pues decidimos hacer la reserva, pregunté si ya que me casaba la sala estaría algo decorada de acuerdo a la ocasión o si lo tenia que hacerlo aparte y me dijeron que no, que ellos lo decoraban.
Llegó el día de mi boda y me doy con la sorpresa de que no había decoración y que solo había un mantel blanco, reclamé y me ofrecieron que junto a mis invitados bajáramos a tomar algo mientras ellos preparaban la sala, como se supone que tenía que estar feliz acepté pero mientras regresaba a mi sala veo al camarero arreglandolo todo delante de mis invitados (pusieron unos tapetes de mimbre y 3 jarrones con flores artificiales), no hubo coordinación, así que dijimos no pasa nada ya está. Nos pusieron las bebidas, los aperitivos, hasta llegar al primer plato, pusieron el primer plato a 3 personas y al rato regresaron para retirarlo pues se habían confundido y otra vez, lo aceptamos que no pasa nada. La comida de 10 El metre fue muy atento y aunque al inicio hubo fallos nos dio buen servicio. El camarero también fue atento pero poco observador pues tuve una invitada que no tenía cubiertos y fue ella quien tuvo que levantarse a pedirlo y luego en ocasiones nos quedamos sin bebida, para evitar levantarnos a buscarlos cada momento pues nos pusieron un timbre para picar cada vez que necesitábamos algo, la cual tardaban como 10 min para venir y esto supongo que fue debido a que en la misma planta había otra reunión y supongo que estaba el mismo camarero. El inconveniente viene después porque en acuerdos de correos con Anna solicitamos que después de la comida queríamos bajar a la terraza para tomar algo y hacernos fotos, debido a que después de todo nos teníamos que ir a otro sitio no escogimos la opción de la barra libre (mínimo 2 horas) el acuerdo fue que pagaríamos por cada trago, lamentablemente esto no se quedó claro por parte de la comercial y se lió todo, nos dijeron que nos daban en libro de reclamaciones pero no quisimos poner nada. Es una pena porque me gustó el sitio, la comida también y que por una mala organización no haya quedado del todo contenta. De hecho estábamos planeando que para el año que viene, hacer la celebración de nuestra boda religiosa ahí, está vez con muchísima más personas o pasar la noche de san Juan o el aniversario de una empresa ya que una de las invitadas es empresaria y cada año celebra su aniversario a lo grande . Read moreGiven the excellent rating and renowned name, I could not miss this place. It could be a 5+ stars place, but few things were just ok. Beautiful place and setting, renovated elegantly. Decorated with elegance, the tables and the rooms are big (also the large chairs are big, maybe not the most comfortable for having a meal, but ok). The food was good but not at the level I would have expected for this location and extra price. Large great choice, but then the essentials were as in many other places. Croquetas were ok but could have had more flavor, same for other small starters. Paella was good both in portion and flavor.
Most of the waiters were super friendly and attending our needs, however not super skilled in the service - small details could make the difference: when serving wine or water, checking during the meal, describing the dishes or suggesting wine.
