Literally the most disappointing and one of the worst Hotels I’ve ever stayed in. With every day there I wondered how this hotel managed to get 5-Stars. Probably the only really good thing this hotel has is the photographer and the photoshop skills used for the photos online. Upon arrival there was no Portier or anyone opening the doors, taking the bags or greeting anyone. Arriving in the room our Balcony was trashed with empty chips bags. The wardrobe of the room was so narrow that there is no possibility to lay down anything without it being crumbled by the wardrobe door. Even for just a 5 day trip the wardrobe ist barely enough for just one person. Staff is untrained, unfriendly and does in absolutely no way offer the service and hospitality which you expect from a 5-Star Hotel. Especially the service of the breakfast staff was unacceptable, rolling their eyes and acting annoyed when ordering things off the menu (cold coffee...). The Breakfast Served, booth a la card and buffet, reminded me of School Camp. The „fresh“ juices where inedible and absolutely not freshly made. The food at the buffet was covered in condensation water and simply looked unhygienic and disgusting. Also the Food ordered from the a la carte menu was poorly done and the ingredients looked and tasted cheap. The housekeeping (especially the Turndown service) was unacceptable. Towels with wholes. Pillows undone. Bedsheets not properly tucked in. Barely replacement of hygiene products like shower gel, shampoo etc. Absolutely catastrophic security/night Portier. We’ve lost our room key when we went around ibiza. Upon arriving in the hotel I’ve just went in, said my room number and that I needed a new room key. Without hesitation and without one single time asking for my name, birthdate or any information to identify me as the actual guest of this room, the Portier made me a new card (important to say is that I have never seen the Portier before and he could not have know me from before or any other way). Relying on the quality assurance and trustworthiness of a 5-Star hotel we’ve rented a car over the hotel. It was promised that the car would be at the hotel at 9am the next day. After waiting for 30min in the lobby I’ve asked reception staff when the car will arrive. Another 15min later I was told by the staff that there was a missunderstanding and I should simply pick up the car at the rental station. That enough we took a taxi to the rental station where we received a car which was crashed, filthy and so dirty that we had to sit on towels to not ruin our cloth. All of that for 320€! Even though this is not a company under ownership of the hotel I expect that a hotel which claims to be a 5-Star hotel does not use and recommends partners like this, as me as a customer is dependent and relies on their experience and trustworthiness. Although the area of the hotel is know previously to the booking I was shocked that a 5-Star hotel is located in such an unpleasant and ugly area. The photos shown online by the hotel portray a completely different and misleading setting and atmosphere.
All in all one can say that this hotel was an absolute disappointment in more ways than I could have imagined. There is no way this hotel can be associated with a 5-Star hotel or a small boutique hotel which it claims to be. The only similarity this hotel has to a real Luxury 5 star hotel is the room prices. The hotel is more of an aging Hostel with unprofessional staff than anything else. Probably the only reason why I can’t list more disappointing things is, because we’ve tried to avoid being there longer than for getting changed or sleeping. Due to the fact that I really feel like being fooled by the hotel I already contacted „small luxury hotels of the world“ which will start to investigate this issue...
Read moreWe have recently stayed at Aguas de Ibiza for 10 nights. The first thing to note is that this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. The rooftop pool i suspect is what warrants the 5 star but other than that, it is in no way 5 star. We had several issues with our room, the first being that we were completley misled by reception and told that if we pay extra we can have a lovely sea view room. What they failed to tell us is that to get this sea view, you need to lean over the balcony and bend your neck to see around the trees and then you see a slight corner view of the sea. If they had told us we would get a PARTIAL sea view then this would be acceptable but they didn't. My Husband raised this with Sol who is the guest experience manager. Sol successfully managed to avoid the issues raised for our entire holiday telling us "we will catch up soon". We got to check out day and had to basically ask outright what Sol was going to finally do to rectify the fact that reception had mis-sold a room to us. Eventually we got the offer of a free lunch instead of reimbursing some money from the room charge. Sol is very good at giving the impression of being friendly and helpful but when it comes down to actually sorting out issues she isnt interested. Thats the first issue. Next, a 5 star hotel shouldn't have constant air con issues, a door that does not lock properly (safety issue with a baby) and a constant damp smell in the room. A 5 star hotel should have friendly receptionists greeting you when you arrive. The receptionist who checked us in was unfriendly and not welcoming at all, not even a smile. She didnt even inform us about facilities at the hotel, for example she did not tell us we were welcome to use parts of the spa free of charge. (Not all receptionists were unfriendly but this one definitely was) Service in the restaurants is very slow. Towels for some reason do not all come out at the same time by the pool so you end up waiting for a clean towel to arrive. There were several loose tiles by the pool, one being by the steps that you walk down to enter the pool which was very dangerous and someone actually tripped over on this and they were luckythey didn't break their leg. Members of staff walk into your room without knocking which is bizarre. When you call reception to get issues in the room fixed it often took hours of waiting. When we checked out we asked for a courtesy room to freshen up as we had an evening flight and had a 6 month old baby to get ready. We were specifically told we cannot have this room until 5pm (we were being collected at 5.45pm) when we arrived at reception at 5pm the room was not ready. By 5.15pm when we asked again, a very rude man at reception dismissed us entirely and was not helpful in the slightest at trying to rectify the situation. Not all members of staff were like this, most were pleasant but there are some who let the hotel down. Oscar behind the bar on the ground floor was excellent and went above and beyond with his service. The breakfast buffet was very good and the rooftop pool is lovely. But the issues we had shouldnt happen at a 5 star hotel and Sol refused to really offer help with this telling us Tui would need to sort the issue when it was the hotel who caused the issue, not Tui. She gave us her number via WhatsApp to discuss issues and when my husband told her about the courtesy room issue and the rude receptionist she didn't bother replying. I guess once you have checked out you're not the hotels problem anymore. Very dissapointed. It's a nice hotel and we had a nice stay overall but don't be misled, it's not 5...
Read moreI am writing this review in case managers from this hotel can be aware of what is going with some of their staff.
My friend came from London to visit me, she booked first at Nativo hotel but as the dates approached she was reached out by the hotel offering her to go to Aguas de Ibiza as they didn’t have people enough in April to open the hotel … Well, my point is, then don’t take reservations for those dates. But, Ok! She did that.
We arrived at Aguas de Ibiza, at the welcome was spectacular! Cava, kind people taking our luggages … Very well.
Every detail you should expect when paying large amount of money.
The fun started when, we came across with a room cleaner, we asked for some stuff, and the lady’s answer was far from luxory or politeness: Kind of shouting to my friend saying “ I don’t speak English” .. Imagine my face!! And replied to her in Spanish saying well!! I speak Spanish.
Second funny thing was about the bath ropes, my friend is used to this thing very much n and she was just expecting to at least getting changed / Cleaned every now and then as we stay for 5 days. Well, every time the room was cleaned there was no bath ropes at all, the lady always took it and never put it back. Until my friend hidden it to avoid not being able to use it.
I asked the cleaners about the reason why there was no bath rope and why teas, coffee etc available since the first day and for free, weren’t refilled as usual … Her answers was that wasn’t her fault, she was just following instructions (well I would have loved to meet the her manager then). Also we left in the small fridge some pastries and a waffle from the breakfast table and this food stayed with us until the end of our days in the hotel!! The cleaner didn’t notice was getting mould inside as of course they were replenishing anything.
Another funny thing, the TV. We could not connect Netflix at all, although it is true that the hotel sent us a couple of technicians, late in the night, whom couldn’t fix the issue at all, and say that there were some rooms having the issue and some other explanation, thank God, we found a channel in English that was interesting.
Also in the breakfast salon, hearing staff complaining about work, and clients, not nice either to be, once again, in a hotel that sells luxory. Same kind of thing happened in the rooftop Maymanta. Some staff complaining and not offering solutions to the client.
And the cherry of the top was the day my friend left. She was asked to pay for drinks and stuff she did not consumed at all. The waiter in the rooftop was mistaken tickets and charging those on my friend account.
So, this my experience even though I didn’t pay for the accomodation myself. My friend did it.
Also, I have to say that apart of that, the reception team, was amazing. Food at breakfast, the best ever I tried. Some other staff very professional and attentive making the guest experience as it should like heaven.
The rooms outstanding although our views were so so. Don’t fancy to look at construction stuff in Ibiza but !! Apart of that, overall very good experience. Just that sometimes staff must be aware...
