Read moreI know fresh fish is expensive in Ibiza but we each paid €42.00 for our respective fish dishes - one of which was red snapper which was mostly the fish's head. The price is not marked on the menu, although clearly a standard price regardless of the fish given we both paid the same amount for different fish - it is not weighed and you are not offered to see or choose the fish beforehand, and no indication you would be paying so much more than the lobster dish or anything else on the menu. All of which would have expected for a serious restaurant. Elena who served us just kept telling us if was the "market price", like they were really sorry but had no option other than to charge this amount (as if it was quoted in an official guide local guide to local fish prices or as the price quoted on the local fish exchange and would be closed down if they didn't). As an after thought we were offered a couple of free drinks, which we refused as it could not take away the bitter taste of ruthless exploitation - next time we will be the ever suspicious British tourists less trusting of local establishments rather than people we normally are always like to think the best of people. Recommend you avoid on principle or approach this place with extreme caution (even if ambience, drinks, location , welcome clientele are all very nice). So please note average price, to include a very small unexceptional fish dish is over €72.00 per head not €36.00 as you might see...
Read moreWorst service I have encountered anywhere in the world ! Waited ages to order drinks. Then waited ages for them to come, eventually a waiter came over and asked if we wanted anything else- could we have the drinks we ordered please! When we eventually got the drinks they were ok, but on asking for the bill were told to go to the bar to pay. Stood at the bar, were ignored by bartender. A waitress came over and literally pushed my husband out of her way to order some drinks. We stood and stood, and the barman eventually acknowledged us. I asked to pay, he said where were you sitting ? I pointed, he snapped exactly where ?? At this point my patience ran out, and we walked out. Some training in customer service is needed in this...
