Passion Santa Eulalia — Restaurant in Santa Eulària des Riu

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times over the past few years, usually about two or three visits over a two week holiday period and have always found the staff friendly and the service very good, well until now. When we first arrived the restaurant was quite busy. I interrupted some staff who were busy ignoring us and got a table. After what seemed a rather long period of time someone appeared to take a drinks order, by the way if you ever go there do not get the iced coffee, which arrived fairly quickly and then another member of staff took our food order. So far so good, it's busy, it's Ibiza, it's hot etc. I ordered the Mexican Burger and my wife ordered the Spicy Mexican Salad. After about forty-five minutes we ask if the food was coming any time soon and were told in five minutes. The food arrives and is plonked down. The salad my wife thought she had ordered was the one with spicy tofu what arrived was spicy chicken. I'll not go into the whole conversation we had with the rude and confrontational waitress but she said we had ordered the wrong one. Apparently there are two Mexican salads on the menu and we didn't specify we wanted the vegan one. Don't know about you but I don't tend to read every item on a menu just in case there is another version with a similar name. How about checking with the customer which one they want and not just assume they want chicken. We ask them to take it back and were told we could have another but would have to pay for that as well as the first one because it was our mistake, seriously. I wouldn’t have cared so much but the attitude was just so unbelievably rude. In hindsight I wish I had walked out when we first arrived and gone to Caos instead which I certainly...

Despite that the food and drinks are really tasting great i am quite upset with their approach of transparence in regards to prices:

It’s the third time I came to passion cafe and each time a big surcharge has been added to my bill without the waiter having informed me about it - nor did the Menu mention it. Today I bought an americano which was 2.50 according to Menu and I ordered two ice cubes in a glass on the side. At the end I paid 4.50 instead of 2.50. I have been charge 2 Euros extra for two ice cubes. I can even find a part of me thats ok with this - but it NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED BEFORE by the waiter. Or written on the Menu. There cant be any hidden surcharges that pop up at the end.

Last time I experienced a similar scenario. I had ordered a smoothie and had a 3 Euro surcharge as I exchanged one ingredient with another (A fruit for another fruit). Again - it wasn’t mentioned that this would cost 3 Euros extra.

Please train your stuff to be transparent. Otherwise it leaves a bad aftertaste and people walk off feeling cheated/taken advantage off. It needs to be clear if there is...
