Discovering the Brewed Bliss at The MONK Coffee Roasters
Tucked away at the northern end of the gastronomic haven, 'Restaurant Street', in Santa Eulalia, is a contemporary oasis for coffee lovers - The MONK Coffee Roasters.
Upon arrival, one is greeted by a charming, minimalist outdoor setup, featuring stools and coffee tables for a quick social catch-up or a moment of solitary reflection. The immediate impression of this boutique coffee house is one of simplicity combined with sophistication - a place where coffee takes the center stage, and everything else harmoniously follows.
The design aesthetic is pleasingly industrial yet intimate, showcasing an open, high-ceiling interior that is an enticing play of woods and metals. Despite its sun-shielding location, the airy and bright ambiance lights up the contemporary decor, revealing an interior design lover's thoughtful touch.
At its core, The MONK Coffee Roasters is a veritable shrine to coffee. The menu doesn't boast of a wide array of snacks or meals, save for a few scrumptious pastries. Instead, it is a paean to the coffee bean, and everything else seems to take a back seat to the rich aroma and deeply satisfying flavors of their roasted brews.
The team, led by the amiable Alicia, is warm, welcoming, and profoundly knowledgeable about their craft. Whether you're a coffee neophyte or an aficionado, their enthusiastic willingness to delve into the complex world of coffee or simply let you enjoy your cup in peace is refreshing.
Patrons, unsurprisingly, are mainly coffee enthusiasts, who seem to appreciate the subtle balance of great value for money and excellent quality. To the uninitiated, the prices may seem steep, but for those who understand the art and science behind a good brew, the experience offered by The MONK is a delightful bargain.
The standout in my inaugural visit was the Nitro Cold Brew - a brew so sublime that it prompted a pledge of loyalty. The commitment to quality and the passion for coffee this establishment exhibits bode well for future visits. This newfound gem has found itself a new number one fan, and is set to become my favorite meeting point when in Santa Eulalia.
Whether you're in search of a welcoming space to hammer out some emails, a cozy corner for catching up with friends, or a tranquil nook for a peaceful read - The MONK Coffee Roasters is the place to be. It's not just a coffee house; it's a celebration of the coffee culture. For those in search of a coffee-centric experience, it's an unmissable...

More importantly, the staff are very friendly and know their coffee: origins, processes, notes. There is also a small selection of pastries and cakes.
They have a product that I’d never seen before: cans of cold-brewed coffee. Nitro was a bit strong for me, but the Tonic is delicious.
The owner recognised me because I was there several times a week and made recommendations based on my taste. Always a nice personal touch.
