Review of Sa Carboneria – Ibiza
Sa Carboneria is an absolute gem tucked just under 10 minutes from the bustling boardwalk—a place that’s well worth the detour from the more tourist-heavy streets of Ibiza. The setting is charming, especially the outdoor garden space, which feels both cozy and classy, with a low-key but vibrant atmosphere. There’s a great mix of locals and travelers, giving the place a warm, lively energy without feeling overwhelming.
I had the grass-fed ribeye, and the beef quality was outstanding—tender, flavorful, and clearly top-notch. The stone grill at the table is a brilliant touch, allowing you to cook each piece to your liking. I loved being able to sear different parts of the steak just the way I wanted.
Dessert was an unexpected highlight. I’m not entirely sure what it was—a rich chocolate cake served with a generous dollop of mascarpone—but it was easily one of the creamiest, most indulgent desserts I’ve had in a long time.
Our server, Jessica, added to the experience with her warm, attentive service. She was generous with her time, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about making sure we had a great meal.
Overall, Sa Carboneria combines exceptional food with a beautiful setting and great service. It strikes that rare balance of being both vibrant and relaxed. Highly...
Read moreLovely venue with a pretty courtyard area but a disappointing meal on this occasion. Our fillet steaks were cold in the centre and tough and chewy. I was offered a replacement steak but declined it as i didn't want to be eating after the others on our table. We accepted a hot stone to cook our steaks a bit more but they were still tough and chewy. I have been visiting this restaurant for years on our visits to Santa Eulalia and have never had a bad meal there. The manager spoke to us at the end of our meal and pointed out that they did offer a replacement steak but she made me feel as if it was my fault because I declined a replacement steak. Such a disappointment after all our previous good experiences there. I have always recommended this restaurant for food, service and ambience but will not do so again. It may have been a one off but to me was a total waste of...
Read moreAfter googling best places for a steak in Santa Eulalia, we came across this little gem. The great reviews pushed me to make a booking and it didn’t disappoint. The moment we got in the door we had a friendly greeting from the bartender, waiting staff and even the chefs, we were made feel very welcome. We had the bread and aioli and olives to start which was excellent. We ordered 2 medium steaks, cooked perfectly and tried a chimmichuri for the first time, it was delicious, I’ve always seen it put on flat steaks online but never tried it. We loved it and are hoping to replicate it at home. The restaurant is a 3/4 minute stroll to the bay area of Santa Eulalia. If you like meat/steak, give it a try, we loved this place.
Last thing, the garden where we had the food, the perfect place for dinner, superb. Thanks...
