Bakery Gelabert — Restaurant in Santa Margalida

I am sad that we found this great place on our last day in Mallorca. They have variety of cakes, pastry and sweets but we went there for the famous Ensaimada. We were there at about 11 on Saturday and they have already sold all of their Ensaimadas. They made one for us. Their bigger Ensaimada come in 3 sizes small, medium and large and they have 8-10 different fillings for it. We got one big Ensaimada in size small :) filled with cream. It tasted pretty good and it had the smoky taste and flavour. I think they made this in wood burning oven. The place was also quite full. Food here was excellent. Coffee was good too. We got two different pastries that were like a pocket of puff pastry with a small amount of filling. One was fled with cream like a baked custard type and the other was supposedly marmalade. What a great place. A variety of tasty fresh and very Mallorcan breakfast. Honest food and pastries at low prices. What surprised me was that coffee was really superb!
