Sapori — Restaurant in Santa Margalida

My husband and I visited this restaurant two days in a row. The first time, the waiter brought two complimentary delicious onion tarts which were amazing. My husband waz happy with his paella and I was happy with my crinkly chips with salad and KfC burger. The only thing that I was unhappy with was the coke ( which is what I had asked for, ). The drink tasted abit off like a syrup and it was quite flat. I assumed that it was from the tap. The waiter said that it wasn't coke but pepsi and that's why it tasted like that. He then brought me a bottled coke which of coursr tasted like coke. The following day, my husband and I pretty much ordered the same thing but with garlic bread and chicken wings as a starter. The chicken wings were fine but the garlic bread wasn't like your traditional garlic bread. It was sliced rustic ciabatta bread with a garlic homemade sauce which I wasn't happy with. We have come here three times for lunch. Each time the food has been good, despite a few flaws. The prosciutto pizza was very nice, and the garlic prawns as a starter also were nice. The second time, we had the cheese burger (which came with no sauce on the burger) and chicken strips (9 pieces). The final time we ordered the chicken strips again, however this time only 6 pieces arrived on the plate. The KFC style burger was a better choice for us than the cheese burger, however still no sauce, each time we had to add mayonnaise. The service really could use some work. The waiters aren't very friendly at all, and at one point when we asked for extra mayonnaise sachets, the waiter walked past and threw them at us onto the table. We've seen one waitress smile once, and this of course affects the atmosphere in the restaurant. The table next to us was served two of the same beers, one missing about 2cm of beer from the top. Called in last night as a group of 6. Food was great, very enjoyable and tasty. Menu is quite small for choice but enough there, season is finishing for them today so choices were more limited. Prices mid-higher end

Location wise, right on seafront. Restaurant is open front so listening to the lapping waves was nice. Decor was great, is nicely furnished. TVs all over showing a lot of football (winner for us, we are sport lovers)

Service was where it was a bit of a let-down for us. Chap that met us and took our order seemed like it was an inconvenience for us to be there. Less than welcoming, felt quite abrupt, but others that were serving were great and got a few stars back. Like I say, end of season. Could be ready for a break
