The food was initially a bit concerning, the Patatas Bravas were 8 euros, the portion wasn’t worth the price neither was the presentation. The potatoes were well fried and tasted good, they only came with a spicy sauce and no aioli which is a surprise to us considering most restaurants include it.
The fried calamari had a rubbery texture and lacked of flavour, they came with no lemon and no sauce. Bland and disappointing to say the least. They were around 7 - 10 euros.
The chopitos were great, they were all hot and crispy. Great taste and came with slice of lemon.
The grilled sardines were alright, nothing too special about it. Could’ve used some salt and a slice of lemon with.
The black rice with squid ink was absolutely amazing and had a rich taste. Although what disappointed me was that it was obligatory to purchase for at least 2 people which increased the price from 12.5 euros to 25 euros.
The entrecôte was delicious and had a great presentation, it all seemed great until we realised some of it was raw. We were basically done at that point and left it at that. See picture below.
The sangria was great, fresh taste and cold but no fruits.
The mojitos were delicious and 7 euros each. Great price and great presentation for such drink.
The Clara de lemon was lackluster and a knockoff radler that you’d find at your local grocery store. It wasn’t bad but nothing I’d pay for.
The total cost of the food was 108 euros.
The highlight of our day would be the amazing waiter we were met with, the waiter treated us astonishingly, he was very kind and polite. By far one of the coolest waiters I’ve encountered so far.
Aside from the waiter’s amazing work, the overall atmosphere and service from the other workers were nothing impressive. We were quite startled by the sudden yelling and heated arguments in the kitchen with the bartender.
I wouldn’t necessarily come back to this place if I had the option to, big room for...
Read moreLa Raspa is an absolute treasure by the harbor of Santa Pola. Everything here is freshly prepared, and you can taste it right away. I ordered a tuna steak medium and that’s exactly how it was served, perfectly cooked and truly beyond expectations!
Not only is the food excellent, but the atmosphere makes this restaurant stand out. The staff is super friendly, always with a smile, and incredibly helpful. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of.
The location by the harbor makes it extra special to dine here, and it’s a place we’ve been coming back to often lately, and that says it all.
In short: if you’re in Santa Pola and want to enjoy fresh food, warm service, and a great spot by the harbor, La Raspa is an absolute must...
