Missed out on 5 star all round rating because of the pricing. Chef did a great job because the food was excellent. I had the Sea bass which came with vegetables. I sat outside because the weather was amazing and I really enjoyed my meal with the view of the marina and the sound of the sea. Before I ordered the sign board on the side of the restaurant said €12:50. When I asked before ordering the staff told me that it was €10:00 and to pay after the meal. I don't speak Spanish so I showed the staff with my fingers 🖐️🖐️ to confirm and they agreed. I thought it was great, maybe they have a special offer on or something. I was disappointed when the bill came, it was €15:00. I told the waiter that I had been told that the fish was €10:00. He came back to me after speaking with the manager with a menu card with crossed out prices and handwriting adjustments showing the price to now be €15. I don't speak the language to argue and I was in a rush to go to the airport so I just paid it. The advertised prices are all over the place at this restaurant so I would advise paying at the time of order or getting them to give you written confirmation to avoid a nasty surprise at the end of a perfect meal. We went here for a return visit, 5 of us dined, 3 meals came out after about 40 mins, then 25 mins later the 4th, then 15 mins later the 5th, I complained to the server who begged us not to complain as the owner would take it out on him, then the manager came over who also asked us not to complain because of the owner, then the owner came over, he was very rude, screaming and shouting, using profanities, he was threatening his staff and us as customers, the only reason he did not wake up on the floor is my visa would have been revoked, I paid the bill as he was upsetting children sat around us, this guy should leave his staff to run the restaurant and he should do something away from the public, there are plenty of other places in Santa Pola to eat, so this place can be avoided, we sat there for around 2 hours just watching food getting returned...

The 'WORST EVER' Calamares and the rest not far behind. A mid afternoon snack turned out to be a big mistake. The calamares a la Romana came out shrivelled up and dry, they were like coated hard chewing gum. So I sent them back to the kitchen only to have them returned with "the chef said this is how we cook them" ...... So, I naturally refused to eat them. The chicken burger was awful, the Angus burger was OK for a 9 year old, the gambas al ajillo were tastless although the texture was OK. My chipirones were also dry but I was starving so had to eat something. As I went to pay the waiter tried to charge for the calamari to which I refused, so the owner wanted proof I hadn't eaten any and sent the poor guy off to collect the basket from the table.
