Upon our our arrival we were ask what drinks we'd like, however, no white rum, no Cruzcampo, no Latino, well the lack of rum wiped out a number of cocktails some of which we trying to order.
One of our group tried to order a salad, but they had no tomatos....!
Not a great start to an evening meal
The pizzas arrived at varying intervals, which was frustrating, and potentially shows a lack of skill.
2 Two of the pizzas had very soggy bases which meant they weren't very tasty, even though all the ingredients were there.
All in all not a great experience, disappointed.
Certainly wouldn't be rushing to go back, a shame as it used to be very good and...

I must admit that in 4 previous visits to Gran Alacant we tended to stick to Centro Commercial and Carabassi Pubs / Restaurants . . . . . . . . If you are visiting Gran Alacant short / long term then Cocoa is a must !!!
Food is absolutely fantastic, as fresh as you can get !!!
Wide range of beverages and the staff are a credit to the restaurant.

Read moreWe had four takeaway pizzas, best pizza we’ve had in the area. Proper clay oven for the pizzas, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly.
My only criticisms (as a pizza snob) were that the pizza dough had a very tight structure, with all the right equipment/ingredients sorted I’d love them to try proving it longer and maybe going for sourdough. I also think they’re probably adding dried oregano and basil to the sauces which is a bit over powering.
But we definitely enjoyed them and will likely be back...
