Soleluna — Restaurant in Santa Pola

First occasion to this restaurant last year was a good experience. However on my most recent visit, the service was not great. The server was lovely but seemed stressed as she had a lot of tables to serve, they needed more staff. We requested for simple things like napkins and had to ask 3 times and in the end retrieve them ourselves from the bar. I had lasagna, it was hot (which was good) but was very liquidy and completely lacking in flavour. Spaghetti Mussels was borderline average. The wine was really good and reasonably priced. A very disappointing experience! We ordered 2 pasta dishes and 1 pizza, and neither of us were able to eat any of it. First and foremost we got the wrong pasta, and the waitress did not want to admit the mistake and wouldn’t give us a new dish. The pasta was overcooked and mushy. The other pasta was hard on the outside and gloopy on the inside. The pizza was more like a soup than a pizza, and the cheese was sticky like a gum!

The waitress did nothing when we told her we were not pleased with the food, and we had to pay full price for everything.

Not the best experience, having been told we could sit a table, we were asked to move! There was only us 2 and a table of 5 in there. We did move but got the feeling it wouldn't be an evening to remember. The food for table of 5 was very slow coming out, they were all at different stages of eating. Our food was a little while but not too bad for 2 simple pasta dishes. Portions were huge!! They were hot and very tasty. The lady serving looked stressed when others came in... muttering oh no under her breath. It took her ages to clear plates or to ask if we wanted anything else.
