La Braña Beer & Food - Craft Beer and Burgers — Restaurant in Santander

My wife and I found La Brava thanks to a Google search for craft beer. We sat at the bar where we enjoyed friendly conversation (in English) with the owner David and his wife.

While we enjoyed the typical regional beers available all over, it was very refreshing to indulge in Spanish craft beers.

We loved the burger and onion rings we treated ourselves to and was tempted by their special Philly Cheesesteak on the menu.

Stumbled upon the pub on my way towards the escalator, was thirsty and could just not pass by the great hops sign that you cannot miss from the street. Small, but sweet, place with great local beers and some standard good ones. Tapas with dinks and very nice and informative bearded gentlemen pored me a nice local American style IPA. Fuimos con unos amigos en plan de tomar unas cervezas, sin más, de modo que no puedo valorar la comida. El local es bonito, como era anteriormente (apenas hay cambios, pero es que tampoco hacía falta). Tal vez le falte un poco de "vida" pero me gusta. Ocho cañeros de cervezas fundamentalmente artesanales, varias de la zona (Dougall's y Redneck). Un poco limitadas en un cuanto a estilos (predominan las IPAS), aunque también había pilsner, porter o doppelbock. También tienen una nevera con cervezas en botella o lata, pero la selección es breve y, una vez más, escasa en estilos. Una pena que no haya algunas imperial stouts, pastries o sours para elegir. Con cada consumición ofrecen una tapa: con la primera ronda fue un hummus y con las demás nachos con salsa. Estaban ricos y es un buen detalle. El precio, un poco caro. Ya se sabe que la cerveza artesanal es más cara que la industrial, pero quizá es un poco más alto de lo que debería teniendo en cuenta las birras de que se tratan.
