Tasca Alamar — Restaurant in Santander

Went for a dinner with my fiance. The place was not crowded when we came at 20:00 but became crowded during our stay. We ordered one salad and one tuna tartar and a Pulpo a la galega. They served unasked one big bred per person on the table and charged these afterwards. The tuna tartar was very salty and the sauce was not good the tuna tasted very fishy and not fresh. The salad was unpretentious. There was no olive oil bottle on the table they handed out untasteful oil on plastic bags . I was so happy with the fish of the day until I saw the check!!! In the menu it was written 18€ and then they charged 28€! I showed the menu and said it was written 18€ the server said that was the line under and that the fish of the day you have to ask the price. I don’t think that was honest, it was not like the menu was with lines or grid. The fish of the day was the first in the list of fish and the first price WRITTEN was 18€ so ofcourse we did the logic that was the price for the fish. It was good but NOT worth almost 30€. Also we waited 15mn only to pay and we asked 3 times. So...

Hemos encargado para llevar a casa 2 tipos de arroz: arroz con rabo de toro y arroz alamar. Ambos extraordinarios. Caldosos en su punto y con verdaderos trozos visibles. Carne, gambones, gambas, almejas etc.... Entre 16 y 18 € ración. Pedimos en los 2 casos para 3 raciones que fácilmente valen para 5 ó 6 comensales. Una pasada. De los mejores arroces que he comido y así se lo hice saber al camarero y al cocinero. Bacalao brasa con tomate natural: Extraordinario. La pieza muy jugosa y fresca. El tomate natural eso ..... natural. Merluza: bastante buena según me dijeron. LAS SOMBRAS Ensalada burrata: muy normalita. Nos la trajeron sin aliñar. Bastante insípida. No gustó. POSTRES TOTALMENTE DECEPCIONADO Flan: Pequeño y totalmente insípido (8€). Un precio escándaloso. Malo. Tarta de queso: normalita sin más. (8€). Un precio escándaloso. Chupito de orujo miel 30/40 cl (2,80€) carísimo. Con ese precio amortizan la botella en 0, Agua botella mediana (3,50€)..... ....lo del precio del agua embotellada en los restaurantes es comentario aparte. Pan, 1 cerveza Alhambra, 1 calimocho y un medio vermut....todo 172...
