Delicious!!! Stopped here after exploring the historical part of the town and were seated right away onto the terrace. We ordered cantabrian cider, squid, seasonal vegetables, and octopus. They brought us a basket of bread, too. The waitress demonstrated how to serve the cider their way and explained how it inhances the aroma (so cool)! The mini squids were the best we have ever had! Ever!! Everything was fresh! Definitely stop here if you find yourself in the area!

This little restaurant is perfectly located in the Plaza Mayor and away from the noisy crowds on the main street. The food was outstanding, and I highly recommend the stuffed hake: it's succulent, flavoursome and tender. The Cesar salad was equally appetising and fresh. €15 gets you the menu of the day with beer/wine included. Don't be deceived by the touristy restaurants on the main street.

Entramos al restaurante, porque nos gustó la idea del cachopo de merluza(mala elección). La primera camarera que nos atendió, imagino que sería aprendiz o simplemente una inmadura, que tiene un trabajo que no aprecia. Para empezar pedimos de primero el cocido montañés. De sabor no estaba mal, pero el plato estaba frío y encima un plato con fondo engañoso para echar menos cantidad, y ya la cara de la camarera al decirle que estaba frío.....la segunda camarera(cristina). Muy simpática, muy atenta y los segundos la verdad que bastante bien, el cachopo estaba muy rico y esta vez por lo menos venía caliente, no como los escalopines de mi novia que estaban helados. En fin no creo que repita ya para terminar nos volvió la camarera del principio 😥Hay que ser más profesional y pensar que el negocio aunque no sea tuyo, deberías respetarlo como si lo fuera, cada cliente satisfecho hará una cadena de gente que repetirá en tu local

We arrived here during a very busy summer Sunday lunch and just missed the last, shady table outside but a very nice waitress offered us inside and it was great. Not only was the food delicious and with some unusual dishes, we were also right in front of the bar and were able to wTch this very well-oiled machine in action. I love watching staff who appear to be happy in their work, able to work together seamlessly without hardly talking Nd give great service. We would certsinly have gone back had we been...
