Molí Nou — Restaurant in Selva

What a wonderful place. Located just on the edge of Selva it has a lovely garden area with tables and a smaller inside area as well.

we did book prior to both our visits and it is probably recommended that you book as well especially if you want to eat later in the eve. we booked for 7pm and there were tables for walk in guests but they were few and it was busier within the hour.

The menu did change slightly between visits which was nice. Dont expect typical tapas that you would find on a UK high street, the food here is on a different planet with their taste and quality. The cocktails and sangria is lethal 🙂.

If you are in Mallorca this place is worth traveling to, you will not be disappointed.

The staff are very friendly and speak english and will go through the menu with you if needs be.

We love the food, and it is such a beautiful outside terrace to have diner. We went there with a family of 10 people. We kindly suggest to have the staff smiling a bit more? The music box was above our head, our side of the long table couldn't hear the people on the other side. After asking, they turned the music down a bit. There was a waitress who almost threw the waterglasses on the table, not one smile and we saw her having arguments with another staff member. She also didn't shower. No conversation, no thank you, from start to end. We understand how stressful it can be when it is busy. But this such a downer. Still we give 5 stars! Ha sido una experiencia rara. Creo que las expectativas estaban demasiado altas. Por un lado, es un buen restaurante para hacer una cena de picoteo, pero no para ir de cubiertos, desde mi punto de vista. Y por otro, deberían aclarar en carta o en web que la cocina pretende ser de fusión. El restaurante tiene un nombre catalán/mallorquín pero sus platos son en su mayoría asiáticos, entre los que se cuela una entraña y algo más. Cuando llegamos tuvimos que esperar un largo rato hasta tener la carta, porque solo había una pizarrita y estaba en otra mesa. Nos resultó un poco extraño ya que en tiempos de coronavirus una misma carta vaya circulando por todas las mesas... Luego los platos no están bien explicados, porque pedimos el wok de verduras con pollo y al traerlo resultó ser un udon con pollo y verduras. No esperábamos unos fideos en nuestra cena sino carne salteada... Con la entraña pedimos si podían añadir verduras para acompañar y la respuesta fue: NO. No queremos trastocar los platos en cocina. A día de hoy aun no entiendo el esfuerzo de añadir verduras a un plato, incluso pudiendo cobrarlo como suplemento. (La carne excesivamente salada) La presentación bien elaborada. Por último, los postres, sencillos, de tamaño perfecto para bo quedar llenos y caseros, nivel medio. Nos recomendaron la tarta de chocolate y les hicimos caso. Resultó ser la típica tarta de 3 chocolates que todos hemos hecho en casa alguna vez. Mal explicado, porque una tarta de chocolate pues la esperas de chocolate, intenso. En fin, con un poco más de preparación y centrarse, podría ser un muy buen restaurante, porque la localización es buena, el patio es precioso y la familia muy acogedora y simpática.
