USED TO BE OUTSTANDING - NOW INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING
Was one of our favourite on the island however today sadly totally let us all down on all levels accept the meat which as usual was top level but was spoiled by waiting for the other dishes to arrive so went cold : (
My wife and I have been to Selvatge 4 times previously and were incredibly impressed by the food and service. We’ve introduced and recommended Selvatge to many others however today was a complete turn off !!
Today We ordered a Burrata starter to share and four main dishes for each one of us.
When being served the first main course, we waited patiently to see when the other three would arrive so we could eat, however it wasn’t until well over an hour later until we received all of the four dishes that were meant to arrive together. We were forced to share cold food that had gone cold due to waiting for the others to be served. It was a mess because one couldn’t eat meat and the other no fish. It added a very awkward feeling to the experience
Obviously we were not planning to share main courses (and we made that clear when ordering)
😡😡The staff were terribly unprofessional and decided it was fine to have a full loud conversation while serving us one of the dishes which was similar to a Paella so took some time to serve multiple dishes. They rudely talked over us, and also decided to sweep the terrace beside us mid dinner which is inedible rude and inconsiderate.😡
Another smaller but frustrating situation on a hot evening was whenever we ordered water we had to remind them which was a challenge in itself because it was hard to finally get their attention (even though we were the only guests in the whole restaurant).
We truly felt constantly ignored and I can only say both of us and the guests we were entertaining were deeply disappointed.
If you order for dishes for four people to be eaten at the same time it’s inexcusable that they arrived over an hour apart from each other. I even asked them twice where are the other dishes but there was no answer.
This previously amazing place used to be refined and totally on point, but there’s a completely new feeling now with the staff who are basically interested in talking over you, forgetting your drink orders and serving you four dishes at completely different times.

The pros: Awesome terrace and great ambiance.
The cons: The worst, was the service. Total miscoordination. We ordered and got the food before we were ever served the drinks which were a beer, wine and a bottle of water. (We were offered a comp on the next round of drinks, we only had one additional glass of wine). We finally got the drinks and ordered a second round of bread as we waited over 20 mins for our second dish to come out. Then again another 20 mins for the last dish. Each time they either forgot something, a plate, silverware, something. They were very nice, just terrible service.
The price: we ordered the octopus rice, which they say is off menu, but seeing everyone’s rec’s it seems the reason they keep it off menu is because the price is out of proportion and this way they don’t have to list it until you get the bill. 80€ for that one dish alone. Our total bill for 3 shared dishes, bread, dessert a wine and a beer came out to 175€
Overall considering you can get a Michelin star experience one block down for 60€, this place is overrated and overpriced. The food was good, but not for the prices they’re charging and less so for the...

Sin embargo, nuestra visita del 6 de octubre fue decepcionante por varios motivos: La atención al cliente no estuvo a la altura: nos retiraron la sombrilla sin previo aviso cuando aún estábamos sentados, lo que dio la impresión de que querían que nos marcháramos. Tampoco nos dejaron sacarnos una foto en la mesa de la entrada con el centro de limones y el árbol, y en su lugar hicieron comentarios fuera de lugar, como que “con suerte podríamos alquilar el sitio para la boda”. Además, algunos comentarios de camareros y de la dueña nos hicieron sentir poco respetados. La comunicación sobre los platos fue confusa: pedimos cinco porque la camarera no nos aconsejo quitar ninguno y dio a entender que era poca cantidad, pero las cantidades eran excesivas (dos lomos por persona en la merluza), lo que no se explicó bien. El orden de los platos no fue el esperado primero sacaron la merluza y esta parecía recalentada (el pescado ya estaba muy cocinado), en el segundo plato la salsa de la lubina ENTERA (la camarera no nos aviso) estaba ácida (en este plato ya nos habiamos llenado) y el solomillo de vaca vieja fue duro y poco disfrutable. Pedimos el caviar como entrante, pero nunca llegó nos tuvimos que comer la merluza de primeras; más tarde nos dijeron que ni siquiera se había anotado. También solicitamos cancelar el 5º plato de cerdo porque ya no podíamos más, nada más nos trajeron el solomillo de vaca. A los 15 min sale el camarero y laencargada diciendo que ya estaba marchado, sin poner pegar pedimos que nos lo pusieran para llevar. No estaban preparados para el take away, porque el plato vino en vasos de cartón tapados con film y táperes los cuales se pego todo ala comida con el cartón, y la única bolsa disponible fue una de basura del baño, nada higiénica ni acorde con el nivel y precio del local. De todas formas al llevar a casa al ver que todo el rissoto de arroz estaba pegado decidido tirar y la carne con las salsas se la dimos al perro porque no se podía ni masticar y el sabor era vomitivo. Finalmente, vimos que a otros clientes sí les ofrecieron detalles como chupitos, cosa que a nosotros, a pesar de gastar 235 € 245 con propina para dos personas, no se nos ofreció ni la posibilidad de fumar tranquilamente un cigarro, se nos dijo no esta permitido cuando a otros cliente si les sacaban el cenicero, nosotros nos debíamos levantar a la zona habilitada en la piscina, porque molestábamos a los que estaban comiendo, pero no habia nadie con platos solo habia 3 mese muy separadas de nosotros haciendo sobremesa. Además, después de la experiencia escribimos un correo a reservas@selvatge.com explicando todo lo sucedido, pero nunca recibimos una disculpa ni una respuesta, lo que refuerza la sensación de poca atención hacia el cliente.
