Restaurante Es Cani — Restaurant in ses Salines

I rarely go out of my way to leave a bad review, but this experience was extremely poor. Last night, around 9:15 pm, I visited Es Cani. When we arrived, we were left standing by a table for 5 minutes waiting to be seated. We expected slower service due to ho busy it was, but this was next level.

After being seated, we waited almost 25 minutes for a menu, despite asking several times. Eventually, the menu came and we ordered two beers and a pizza.

The table next to us was complaining as the waiter started clearing plates while half of their party was still eating. One member said ‘I am still eating’ and the waiter replied, but he isn't and continued to clear the plates.

After 45 minutes of being seated, we still hadn't received our drinks, and it was impossible to get anyone's attention. The only person we managed to catch told us to speak to our waiter, who seemed arrogant.

A table of seven who were seated after us had already received wine and other drinks. It seemed like they had forgotten to put our order through.

After being seated for about 50 minutes, we decided to leave and went to another place on the strip.

This is probably my favourite place to come to in Colonia. We had breakfast here every day of our recent stay and have been every time we have been to Colonia previously. It is excellent quality, lovely service with super friendly staff. The position along the front near the port is perfect for a chilled bit of people watching!

We recently had their Cabrera pizza which was incredible. It has sea fennel on top (which you can find growing locally along the coast) and it was absolutely delicious. We went back again a couple of days later and ordered it again.

Every morning I had an Ensaimada pastry which is a Majorcan delicacy.. a swirl of incredibly light flaky pastry with iced sugar on top. Along with this I chose a Neapolitana pastry (basically a pain au choc) - really good quality and perfect with an Americano and freshly squeezed orange juice....

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! HUID!!!!! Voy a contar mi reciente experiencia. Fui a este sitio para probar. Ofrecen de todo un poco (nada bueno) y entro eso había diferentes woks. Yo soy muy alérgica al marisco, tengo que llevar antiestaminicos y adrenalina. Además cuando voy a probar algún sitio nuevo pregunto, aviso y me informo, y si veo que no es factible comer porque no me pueden asegurar que lo pueda hacer, no como y esta vez no iba a ser menos. Advertí que era alerjiquisma y pregunté si cocinaban las verduras y el tofu en un sitio diferente. El camarero me miró con cara de “menuda pesada” ni me respondió y se fue. Cuando os trajeron los platos sin decir nada, me colocaron el mío delante y olía a marisco una barbaridad, pensé que podría ser imaginaciones mias y lo probé, entonces pude comprobar que lo había hecho en el mismo sitioo. Mis amigos, lo probaron y palabras textuales de ellos “parece que estoy comiendo una paella de marisco”, trague un poco y comencé a los síntomas, empezaba a no poder tragar. Tome un antiestaminico y me fui a casa. El muy desagradable (no puedo poner lo más fuerte porque sino no me lo publican) del camarero, no tiene vergüenza ninguna, deseo que le suceda lo mismo que me paso a mi y que se sepa lo que se siente y que pasen de él… ademas cuando la probé le dije que por favor la probara que sabía a gambas y me dijo; “paso a mi eso no me gusta” cuando me lo había recomendado al principio. Todo un despropósito. Experiencia horrible. Prepotente, altivo, ni se disculpó y siguió atendiendo mesas arrastrando los pies, así como sus ganas de vivir! Solo te deseo lo mismo que me sucedió a mí pero multiplicado por x10.

Pasad de largo, no merece la pena. ¡Es un súper desastre de sitio que debería...
