This was our second time at Cassai Beach House, and once again I am terribly disappointed, although this time was unbelievable and unexpected so that’s why I am leaving a review. We had a reservation at 10:45pm, we know is late, but they admitted reservations on the website till 11pm so we never thought we would have a problem. As soon as the waitress saw us she gave us a bad look, before we even told then we had a reservation. The manager came and told us to sat down wherever we wanted at the ground floor. Then he came and rushed us when ordering the drinks without even giving us the menus. We told him that we needed some time. He came a couple minutes after and when we started to order, he told us that nothing of what we wanted was on the menu. We ordered bread and ali-oli and he said that he didn’t have any. Then we ordered “ baby squid” and he said that he had to check. He then came by and and said that for one little portion he did have. Then when we ordered Paella he said that he did not have paella at this time. Not salmon; not rice or anything that took long. Then we said we needed minute to think, and ordered something else quickly. He then told us if we minded having the starter and the main at the same time so the Chefs could go home. Definitely he wanted to leave. When the baby squid arrived we had no drinks whatsoever on the table, not even water. Also the squid came with Ali Oli so we didn’t understand why we couldn’t order bread and ali oli. The fun doesn’t finish here, when we almost finished our mains, 4 paellas came for different tables. So we did not understand why we wasn’t offered them. We asked 2 of the masculine waiters ( they were very polite) and tried to explain that had no stuff and that they had 2 different ali olis, and that the chefs had to go home. But this does not excuse the poor service and how we were treated. Unbelievable. And the most crazy thing happened afterwards, my husband founded a big glass ( sharped crystal) on his drink, we told them about it and when the waiter came he took the drink and said he will be back. He never came back to explain anything, only when we ordered the bill and left. We understand this is a late booking and empathise with the employees, but if the website says that the last reservation is at 11 they can not make the clients rush this way, as it will make many people not to come back. I felt super uncomfortable with the whole situation and worried about my husband’s and I would like this review to have an impact on the people that think about booking at Cassai Beach House. Decoration, and vibe look nice but the service itself turns everything off and unfortunately has to improve a lot. They should employ a manager that actually wants to work. And also, there is never taxis to take you back anywhere unfortunately. Never coming...

Extremely Disappointed — Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Rude Staff

We had one of the worst restaurant experiences here during our recent vacation. We made a reservation for a group of 6 adults and 3 babies and later modified the reservation time over the phone, which was confirmed by the staff. We then attended lunch as planned and spent over €900 — yet days later, we were shocked to see that an additional €270 was deducted from our debit card as a supposed “no-show” fee.

Not only is this charge completely unjustified (we did not cancel, we showed up and paid in full), but they also charged for the three babies as part of the no-show fee — which is absurd.

We called multiple times to resolve this. One staff member admitted the mistake, said the refund had been requested, and told us to expect it in 2–3 days. When nothing arrived, we followed up as instructed — three separate times, only to be told “the manager isn’t here, please call again.”

When we finally got hold of the manager, he casually brushed it off, laughed when we mentioned we live abroad, and smugly said, “It’s okay, we’re here next year.” Then he added the refund could only be done in cash, contradicting everything we were previously told.

We are absolutely appalled by this level of unprofessionalism. To add insult to injury, the lunch itself was underwhelming — the staff were rude, inattentive, and constantly late with orders.

A restaurant that charges nearly €1,000 for a meal should at the very least treat guests with respect and have consistent, transparent policies. What we experienced felt more like a scam than a dining experience.

Would not recommend — avoid...

When we got there, I wondered why such a nice looking restaurant in a gorgeous setting was so easy to book last minute and had so many empty tables. After experiencing their terrible customer service, it all made sense. We lost count of how many times the manager told us that we "HAD to leave by 8:30PM because of the next guests" (which he started saying to us at 6:40PM, shortly after we arrived). We never told him we planned to stay longer, quite the contrary. Even after we explained we planned leave before 8:30PM anyway because of a soccer match, he kept insisting that we "COULD NOT STAY AFTER 8:30PM". It even became a joke at our table. I unfortunately forgot my sunglasses at the bathroom and called later asking about them. The lady who picked up didn't speak very good English and my Spanish is even worse, so after she left the phone for 2 seconds and came back saying she had checked and hadn't found the glasses, I unsuccessfully tried to explain the glasses should be between the sink and the wall. I asked to speak to the manager, since we knew he could speak English (at least the "8:30PM stay limit"...). He never came to the phone. After I called back, he refused to check the bathroom again, saying it was my fault I lost the glasses, not theirs (those exact words). After replying that I never said it was their fault and that I was only trying to explain that they weren't easily visible, so she could have missed them. I then politely asked why he was being so rude. He said "She told you it's not here. You're not believing her". And hung up on me. And that explains the empty tables in a waterfront restaurant in...

We had dinner at Cassai Beach. Reservation was made at least 1 month in advance with request to sit outside at the terrace with sea view. When we arrived, no one was welcoming us at the entrance. We were appointed a cramped table in the back while tables outside were free. When we declined the table and asked to sit outside, we were appointed a table closer outside but still not the table we wanted. The waitress gave us an arrogant eye and after confirmation from the manager of Cassai, we could sit outside. We ordered some good wine and received it in “Aperol Sprits” glasses. No serving from the bottle at the table and not the proper wine glass, which is quite disrespectful. We had to wait quite long for bread and olives , which were served only 1 minute before the main course. When the main course was served, we had to make room ourselves on the table , waitress was just waiting for us to come into action. The main course was clearly prepared some time ago already and kept warm. We had lamp chops and Salmon, which were so so. Lamp chops taste was good. The Salmon was too raw inside. We come to Mallorca every year and always have dinner in either Cassai in Ses Salines or in Colonia Sant Jordi from the beginning the restaurant opened its doors. This was the last time. Ambiance and food is good. However, friendliness and experience of staff is declining year by year. Cassai lost its touch.

We are deeply disappointed with this place. Cassai Beach house was a second visit with this company after Cassai restaurant in Ses Salines. Back there we have paid 80eur for two people, yet it was money well spent - experience was smooth, atmosphere and food was amazing, waiters were friendly. In Cassai beach house we got our appetizer and drinks quickly, but after that everything went bad. First of all my burger was medium rare, while I’ve ordered medium well. Nothing bad - happens often. Unfortunately my better half didn’t get her salad until I was done with the burger (she asked me to go on with it so it won’t get cold) and we were waiting for more than half an hour for the second glass of wine. Same thing happened with our friends who were dining with us. In general the service was tragic, not to mention loud broken fan over our heads. The view was amazing, but that’s the end of good stuff. It seems like they are not in control of this place and if you feel like visiting Cassai, skip the beach house, go to Ses Salines. Way better experience. Two stars, because one star is reserved for this one place where bartender assaulted my friend with a broken bottle. (And nachos were decent).

Cassai Beach House is a stunning gem on the southeastern coast of Mallorca, perfectly blending Mediterranean charm with modern sophistication. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by a serene beachfront atmosphere, stylish décor, and an inviting ambiance that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. The interior is beautifully designed, with natural elements like wood and stone, soft lighting, and tasteful coastal touches that enhance the overall experience. The outdoor seating area offers breathtaking views of the sea, making it an ideal spot for both daytime lounging and romantic sunset dinners. The menu features a delightful mix of Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary twist. Fresh seafood, flavorful tapas, and creative cocktails are highlights, and the quality of ingredients is evident in every dish. The staff are friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely lunch, a sunset drink, or a memorable dinner by the beach, Cassai Beach House delivers on all fronts. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mallorca.
