I should’ve looked up the bad reviews first, because right from the get go I felt unwelcomed by the waitress, the shorter one, light brown hair with rosy cheeks. All I asked was for a menu and then she replied “there!” I was like well ok “where’s there?” and then after that she was pissed off. I was baffled but I guess I’m not pizza not everyone is going to like me :). As I told her my order in Spanish, she out of nowhere cut me off and starting speaking broken English, to annoy me I suppose, little did she know I’m American and I replied back in English, she became silent and I said “well kind of hard to order when I don’t know what language to speak to you, since you switch from Spanish to English for no reason”. The pork dish I got was good but I’ve been to Extremadura so I knew it wouldn’t compare and due to the awful customer service I received, if I ever for some reason, decide to return to Setenil, I know I won’t return to this restaurant, and then small towns like these wonder why they go downhill. Can’t have tourists supporting you if you make them feel unwelcome...

Hui - das war leider ein wirklicher Reinfall. Angefangen beim Service - eine sehr unfreundliche Kellnerin hat unsere Bestellung entgegengenommen, sie sprach kein Englisch (nicht schlimm) - aber das hat sie uns sehr schroff zu verstehen gegeben und behandelte uns danach sogar noch unfreundlicher. Das Essen (wir bestellen die Fries mit Cheddar & Bacon + die mit Kabeljau und Schrimps gefüllten Paprika),..die Pommes für meine Frau kamen nach 15 Minuten - waren kalt und labbrig - mein Essen kam auch 30 Minuten nach dem Essen meiner Frau nicht - mehrere Handzeichen wurden ignoriert. Die Bedienung hat unseren Tisch dann bereits komplett abgeräumt, woraufhin wir dann ohne mein Essen bezahlen wollten. Da ignorierte man uns gekonnt und zog die spanisch sprechenden Gäste von den anderen Tischen vor. Als ich dann endlich reden durfte habe ich klar gemacht, dass mein Essen noch nicht da ist und wir bezahlen wollen - plötzlich, nach 60 Minuten, kam mein Essen aus der Küche, als ich schon vorne stand und bezahlen wollte. Mit dem vermeintlichen Inhaber dann etwas länger diskutiert, 50% Nachlass auf mein Essen verhandelt (obwohl ich es abbestellt habe) und sind dann gegangen. Ein Learning für uns: Nicht an Hotspots...

La comida está riquísima. Repetiría sin dudarlo por la calidad de la comida. La carne muy sabrosa, las patatas fritas naturales y sin mucho aceite. Además me orientaron en los alérgenos de los platos por mi intolerancia a lactosa.

El problema fue que me senté en una mesa donde la lluvia me mojaba un poco. Pedí de beber y de comer. Posteriormente solicité a la camarera cambiarme a la mesa de al lado porque ahí no caía la lluvia. La camarera me lo permitió. Al momento la mesa que dejé libre, fue ocupada por una pareja. El plato de Pluma Ibérica que pedí tardó en llegar unos 20-25 min y cuando llega, se lo sirve a la mesa dónde me senté inicialmente. Le dije a la camarera que ese plato lo había pedido yo primero mucho antes, me dijo que sí pero ya habían empezado a meterle mano al plato... Por lo que tuve que esperar otros 20 min a que viniese mi plato.

Se disculparon pero nada más. Fue un error completamente del bar. No me ofrecieron ninguna solución ni compensación por perder mi tiempo. Así, el bar se puede equivocar las veces que haga falta, solucionando todo con un simple "lo siento". Las palabras se las...
