Chose to eat at La Tasca while visiting Setenil after seeing the positive reviews online, unfortunately our experience was not positive at all. We were (not) greeted by a waitress who seemed unhappy about my family and I sitting down and provided us with menus in Spanish after we had already apologised for not speaking Spanish. The restaurant was reasonably busy and I understand the stress involved since previously working in hospitality but her attitude came across abrasive, dismissive and rude. It was difficult for my grandmother to order anything due to the language barrier and apparent lack of highlighted gluten free options, though when I tried to ask I was ignored however eventually received a menu in English. When our food arrived, quickly in their defence, it was effectively thrown down in front of us and the waitress hastily retreated back inside. The food was middling if not poor in quality considering the price and added service charge though this would not have been a problem if we had received better service from our waitress. All in all Setinel is a beautiful town with various places to eat, unfortunately La Tasca is not somewhere I can...
Read moreThe food was okay.. the meat was drenched in grease that definitely wasnt from the meat. When we ordered "pulpo" which is squid in spanish, we got handed squid!! and they still made us pay for it and didnt allow send-backs. We also were smart enough to ask if the bread they put on our table when we just sat down was free - it wasnt. In spanish on the other side of the menu there was written "60ct per piece per person" in spanish, but there wasnt anything about the bread written on the english side of the menu in english. We also wanted to order coffee, but they told us they dont sell it. Then, the same waiter brought a table next to us coffee. They also didnt have hot tea. Overall i dont reccomend this place, the food isnt that good and there are probably better restaurants. The atmosphere wasnt homey or romantic at all. Although the view was amazing, the food and...
Read moreWe visited La Tasca in Setenil de las Bodegas during a day trip from Málaga, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location under the dramatic rock formations is truly unique — enjoying a meal on the terrace feels magical and authentic. 🏞️🍷
We ordered grilled meat dishes with fries, and everything was cooked perfectly — juicy, flavorful, and served with a delicious sauce. The house white wine was crisp and refreshing, pairing beautifully with the food. 🥩🍟🍷
The atmosphere was lively, with both locals and travelers enjoying the setting, and the service was warm and friendly despite the busy crowd.
If you’re visiting Setenil, La Tasca is a must-stop for great Andalusian food, local wines, and one of the most unique dining views in Spain. Highly...
