Hogan Stand Irish Bar — Restaurant in Tías

I thought this was supposed to be an Irish pub but, when I got inside, there was a shrine to England's equivalent of Glasgow Rangers. I went in to watch a football match and, although there were two large televisions showing the match, the owner never switched on the sound, preferring to inflict Kenny Rogers and John Denver on us on a repeating loop. He either doesn't like Manchester United or he doesn't like Aston Villa. It's easy to guess which. There were a number of customers in to watch the match but John Denver held sway. Also, make sure you have cash because, in 2022, there's still no card facility. We were told "there's an ATM down around the corner". Tiny shops have card machines. had food poisoning after. dunno why. place looked clean. prices way over top. rip off tourist style. very blase customer service..sweeoing under ur feet. coffee n juice not fresh or real. way out on prices for breakfast. I ate nothing rest of day.. got ill that night...horrible. location.. dude street job. they portray an Irish tea like it's some type of novelty..we are not on outer Mongolia. hate all that party whackery crisp. in strip you get full breakfast for 4euros. half here is 6. I suffered awful dose. not saying it them. man very nice but I don't eat anything else all day after that. i did enjoy the breakfast..not saying ivdidnt but obviously some little thing not right. this can easily happen. would not return in a hurry.one point... don't bring rip off...

This is a fantastic bar situated in the old town in peurto calero they really do a lovly breakfast which is worth waking up to from the new town area or getting a taxi. Paddy the owner is a real gentleman and always has a friendly greeting for myself and my mum when we go into his bar.also the nighty entertainment is brill they have music and people singing Irish songs just wish I was in lanz right now put hopefully we will be going 2 peurto del Carmen soon and I will be lucking forward 2 the craic in...
