The service in this place is totally opposite from the contenitential, slow dining of the Spanish or Italian. We had been here a few years a go in 2021 and something has changed over the last few years. I think the possible owner (a bald man who served us) is Italian, was mainly responsible for the less than desirable customer service experience. But overall the way in which they speedily serve your food, makes you feel like you're in a rat race and you're there just so they can take your money and kick you out! Upon arrival and after barely looking at the menu we were asked what we wanted to order and we couldn't believe it. Then they came back 2 or 3 times, not even a minute within each other. We had a lovely woman serve us, but she asked to many times if we wanted to order and one other young waiter, like there was an urgency. There was no one in the place as we were very early! Then the bald man came over and we ordered. But I asked for pineapple and roquefort as additional toppings on my pizza and he gave me the most dirtiest look and stared at me, to the point I thought it was maybe a mistake in what I said. I then realised he was judging me for asking for pineapple on my pizza! But my husband broke the ice and referenced the joke about the controversial, topping of pineapple on pizza. But we were both astounded when he left and shocked at how he behaved towards us. I was disgusted and to be honest I wanted to leave then and there. He made me feel like saying "Why do you have a problem with what I like on my pizza, as I like it and I'm the customer, so it shouldn't matter". Do not go to this restaurant if you want time to breathe and to not be judged for what you want on your pizza! Rude and extremely arrogant attitude, is all I can say! Also we weren't the only ones, another couple were horrified by the fast service and how rushed they were and a family beside us all ordered pasta and the same waitress who served us said, "All pasta, why no pizzas"... we could see why, when it arrived out, in a flash I'll add (looked miserable, so clearly all the effort and love goes into the pizzas only!)... But its worth saying, the pizza is actually very, very good, which is frustrating, as it's just a shame about the awful customer service!
P.s The starters are tiny for the price, so I would skip those and go for...
Read moreUnfortunately, after reading quite a lot of good reviews my partner and I were excited to try this “authentic” Italian. However, we were extremely disappointed when she ordered a “Bianca Spaghetti” which is a dish we cook ourselves quite regularly and have eaten in other restaurants on the island. The garlic was so burned it overpowered the entire dish and there was no taste of chilli. Beside all this, the amount of olive oil used (which I understand is a main characteristic of this dish ) would have given anybody a heart attack. The Parmesan also either was not real or gone off and I don’t know which is worse. I had a “Milano pizza” which to be fair wasn’t too bad apart from being a bit soggy, I have no other complaints regarding it. To make matters worse , the waiters didn’t seems to have any interest and just tried to push desert on us instead. It’s such a shame because we had such high hopes but I really...
Read moreI had really high hopes for this restaurant after reading such good reviews. Unfortunately I ordered spaghetti Bianca, which is Spaghetti with chilli, garlic and olive oil. Which is one of my all time favourite dishes. The issue with it was the garlic was absolutely cremated, and anybody that enjoys Italian food knows that the minute garlic is burnt the whole dish is tainted. I had eaten two mouth fulls and left the dish. The waiter took my plate and didn't even question if there was something wrong. For me that's even more of a red flag then the burnt garlic. I promise there is an abundance of great Italian food on this island, for me this is not the...
