I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. It’s fine dining, prices are very high, ambiance is to the level. Staff could be more courteous, some were really nice, some were not. You can’t deny the food is high quality, but it’s not as impressive as I’d have wished. The best part about it is that you get to learn about Tuna and that they serve parts of it that aren’t found in most restaurants. However, what should have been the star of the night, tuna alla sal, ended up being way to salty for me. I was literally feeling my hands go numb from overdoing in salt. However, the people I was sharing it with didn’t have such a strong reaction to it. It might be that I got a piece of the tuna that had most of the salt. In any case, the server should have shaved off the salt better before giving it to us. It’s a pity, I’m sure that it could have been amazing if it wasn’t for the overbearing salt. I’m pretty sure there are great dishes in the menu that we just didn’t order, so maybe my experience was a very particular one. As for the desert, it was not in the level of fine dining. I wish I had gone to a different restaurant on my visit to Zahara de los Atunes, but I think that’s mostly because I felt this was too expensive to leave with mixed feelings. Read moreOne of the best fresh tuna restaurants I’ve ever experienced! The tuna tartare and sashimi were exceptional—super fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The jamón was also fantastic. Service was impeccable: warm, attentive, and highly professional. Just a heads-up—reservations are taken by phone only, so be sure to book in advance.
The ocean view is absolutely breathtaking and elevates the whole experience. We were lucky to be seated right by a large window overlooking the sea, which made the meal even more special. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. While the staff primarily speak Spanish, they were incredibly kind and patient, happily offering recommendations and guiding us through the menu.
There’s also a knowledgeable sommelier on hand to pair your seafood with wines that will truly delight your palate.

Read moreI can only evaluate the restaurant, which we have visited in four occasions in the last 6 years when we spend our summer vacation in the Cadiz area. It has always been a safe bet for some of the best seafood/fish and amazing views in the province. As business has significantly increased, not only getting a table has become more difficult but the service has deteriorated: less attentive, in a rush and very focused on turning the table for the next customer, so food comes out fast and at the same time. We will continue to go there but hope this feedback will contribute to a return to the old restaurant ways when it was less popular.
