An up and down dining experience marred by an equally up and down service. Overpriced for what it is when so much amazing food is available literally around the corner. We ordered bao buns and patatas bravas to start, the bao buns were fantastic and the patatas were average, the Peruvian sauce added nothing special to the dish. Our mains were pez mantequilla (butter fish) with couscous and tacos made with the local retinta beef. The fish was flavoursome however arrived luke warm whereas my tacos arrived piping hot (cooking timing?). The tacos were good but nothing spectacular as suggested by other reviews. We had the chocolate dessert which was named "chocolate like you had as a child" or something along these lines. I now understand why they named it as such when it turned out to be a mason jar filled with whipped cream and a tiny amount of chocolate mousse underneath. The food experience over all was a 4 star experience however what brought it down was the differing attitudes of the waiters. We were initially served by a very abrupt and rude waiter who seemed to be disgusted that we didn't reserve a table (at 8pm) even though most of the tables that were reserved remained empty until 10pm. The main part of our meal was served by a much friendlier waiter and most of the other waiting staff seemed friendly. However, the first waiter still seemed keen to get rid of us as soon as possible. I would not come back here as tarifa has many other options with better food...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants in Tarifa. Great fusión of Spanish and Asian dishes. Everything we had was delicious. Menu was super interesting and oyu can't really go wrong with any of the dishes. The waiters were great and always ready to help with recommendation. The only dish I was a little bit confused about was Veal cheeks and that was because of the chocolate sauce. Apart from that, I would get any of the dishes again, no hesitation. Also you do pay for a great meal and it...
