Discrimination. My friend and I were waiting for a taxi service, we had plenty of time to kill. I saw a small group of people eating at this restaurant with the server or person working at Geko attending to them. I walked over ready to look over the menu and order something as it was the first restaurant next to us. As I walked towards the door, the guy stopped me dead at my tracks giving me the hand gesture as if to say 'what do you want here.' I didn't want to overthink it, but as I attempted to continue through the door, he again gave me the hand gesture, that certain look and mouthed 'what?' I asked, in Spanish, if there was a menu I could look over because I want to order something, he sharply said no, we're closed. Literally not even 10 mins later, more people showed up and he happily attends to them. What a wonderful restaurant. The owner greeted us and was very friendly. His wife provided suggestions for other locations to visit while in Spain. The location of the restaurant was right next to the main church and provided an enchanting backdrop. We were first given delicious green olives to snack on. We had a few tapas that were wonderful. We had the €10 menu of the day. Simple two courses, one pasta with creamy ham & one pasta cheese sauce followed by shrimps with fries for both of us ... came with a dish of some decent green olives, some bread, grated parmesan cheese & some nibbles.
