If I could give this place a 0 I would. I have never been treated with more disrespect as a customer in my life.
WiFi broke in our apartment so I went there to ask if I could pay for some food and use their WiFi for a couple of hours. The manager immediately became quite aggressive and said that I could take one call but had to sit in the corner (I was the only one in the restaurant of about 10 tables) and after that I had to leave. I even offered to give them some money to compensate them if that was the issue but she declined.
I ordered a coffee and tried to join the WiFi but the details they gave didn't work. When I asked for help she refused to help me, just told me it was working on her phone and essentially tough luck. After that she started talking about me in Spanish to her colleague behind my back (she assumed I didn't speak Spanish so wouldn't understand her).
I managed to join my meeting by dialling in on my phone and then in the middle of my call she turned the volume on the music up so I could not come off mute to speak to my colleagues.
Treating another human being like that is just not acceptable, especially if they are a paying customer and more than willing to compensate for the inconvenience they're causing. There was just no quarter to be given. I was labelled as a nuisance from the moment I asked about working from there and that was that.
Go to La Mar Café instead. They have lovely staff and great...
Read moreWe have never experienced such rude, illogical behaviour from the bar owners. When I entered I asked if they have a working wifi. The waitress said that yes, but she will only give the password once we order. So we did (smoothie and an orange juice). The German lady and the Argentinian guy should get a quick course on good manners. How do I know that they were the owners? They said "This is my place and I don't want people who come here to relax and see home office". When we arrived, the place was completely empty. Bad luck that another 3 people who came after us also had laptops... The lady told us that "we took the best table" and asked us to leave as soon as the families come.
Note to the owners: Famara is a surfers town so maybe, just little maybe, you should consider that many people do work remotely and they choose to spend time around other nice people (especially now, where not only freelancers but also the 'normal' people can work remotely). Unlucky for them (and for your wallet), your place is not...
Read moreWe went for dinner in this place and had the most awful experience. We waited 1h until we realised the restaurant was closing and had to enquire about our order. After a lot of mess, the waiter said the kitchen didn’t have the ingredients for one of our requests and they hadn’t warned him so our order ended up being lost. The staff was clearly overwhelmed, Fiestas de Famara were going on and there was probably much more customers that normal. However, what bothered us the most was the apparent lack of awareness and accountability for the inconvenience we experienced. No one realized we had been waiting for an extended period without any food, and even when we called attention to that, the response lacked empathy and willingness to take responsibility for the situation. In the end, they ended up cooking us a burger which was quite good, however the overall experience and the customer service was so bad that I can't...
