Rincón del Timple — Restaurant in Tejeda

Formerly known as Sabores but although it closed under that name a year or so ago, people are still leaving reviews for it thinking that it’s this new incarnation (to be fair, the restaurant is not helping here because they haven’t updated the name on their bills yet). The other review page has suitably positive reviews but this one is mainly negative, so I feel that I have to redress that.

We ate here twice because on both occasions, it was the only restaurant open. This turned out to be a good thing because both visits were great. The first was sat outside and we had a wonderfully friendly waiter who was full of compliments for us trying to speak Spanish (‘trying’ is the operative word there). The restaurant was due to close for the night but people kept arriving (because it was the only one open) so the restaurant stayed open for them. The food was good as well. For the second visit we sat inside because of the winds outside. The atmosphere inside is warm and homely. We tried the set tapas option: we got six tapas for €24, which was outstanding value. The quality was high and we were really full afterwards - no need to order anything else.

Pedí pizza “el rincón del timple tejeda”. La pizza está quemada y falta dos ingredientes (nata y champiñones), la pizza debería estar perfecta condiciones sin quemado y sin faltar los ingredientes. De no ser así esto no es un gran profesional. La quemada tal que se ve la foto puede ser que el horno de piedra está sin limpiar. Una cosa más, me encontré un hueso pequeño de pollo y casi me atraganta. Además, vengo con mi amigo que es sordo y su plato es de cerdo a la plancha según dice que está un poco duro (seco). Finalmente le reclamé que la cantidad del precio de la pizza debería descontar por falta de dos ingredientes y la chica dice que no se puede, me cobró igual del mismo precio 10€ la pizza. Mal servicios y es una falta de respeto, no es una gran amabilidad porque su trabajo no le afecta pero a mí sí me afecta por estas malas condiciones. Precio abusivo (muy caros) y sin descontarme por la falta de dos ingredientes. Muchas gracias. Porque la cosa hay que hacerlo bien y si no lo hace se lo reclamaré al consumo y sanidad. Gente no lo recomiendo por mal servicio. Aunque me diga a mí una frase como excusa que me contestó al final de mi reseña: “Buenas tardes Jaime perdón las molestias, en nuestro local siempre cuidamos la higiene y la calidad de los productos, ya se le informo que la pizza el rincón del Timple tenía un fallo en la carta y no LLEVA CHAMPIÑÓN aún así usted dejó el plato completamente limpio por lo cual no se le iba a descontar nada.Un saludo”. Yo le respondo que eso es un fallo de ustedes la carta tal cual como lo describe los ingredientes y si hay un problema con la carta se debería pedir al servicio al cliente como preavisar pidiendo una disculpa educadamente pero no me lo dijo; así que déjate de decirme cómo excusa que el plato está limpio y que la culpa es tuya y eso me faltó un respeto que hay que ser un poco de empatía y preavisar lo de la carta que no me dijo nada. This is a lovely and authentic local bar/restaurant. The service was first class…friendly, attentive, everything you’d want and nothing you wouldn’t. The tapas looked great…however, we had pizza…and in all honesty…they probably shouldn’t offer pizza as they’re not great.
