The food and service were great the first visit. The pork cooked on stone at table was tasty tender delicious. It was so good we came back to eat again but the service and attention we received were so bad that we left without eating. The waitress was not welcoming and uninterested in where we sat. She brought the menu and we asked for the wine list but when it was brought after a long wait we were still ignored despite being ready to order wine and food. The restaurant was not busy. Then the waitress appeared and almost threw the bread on our table but walked away before we could order. We attracted her attention again and firstly advised that we did not want bread and still she managed to remove the bread but avoid taking our order. We sat for another 10 minutes and left. I think maybe it is hard to find friendly accommodating staff who want to work in Tejeda although we have eaten out at most of the restaurants here and never before experienced such bad service. This place was absolute perfection- from the service to its simple yet superb menu. Special shout out to the chef, Nestor and our server, Leo. They made our night special. The restaurant is charming and cozy with excellent service. For starters, the bread and butter was phenomenal. The grilled vegetables were a delight. The secret pork with the beet sauce on the side was delightful. Chefs kiss. Truthfully, everything we’ve had was amazing. The highlight of the night was the dessert menu. We did enjoy excellent, delicious food but unfortunately encountered quite unfriendly, arrogant service personnel: one staff member absolutely refused even to try to understand what we want to order in English or any other language but Spanish: she stated clearly that, since we were in Spain, we must speak Spanish. Of course, there was no point in explaining to her that learning the sixth language because of a spontaneous decision to go to Gran Canaria for a week would have been an overkill.
