The food and service were great the first visit. The pork cooked on stone at table was tasty tender delicious. It was so good we came back to eat again but the service and attention we received were so bad that we left without eating. The waitress was not welcoming and uninterested in where we sat. She brought the menu and we asked for the wine list but when it was brought after a long wait we were still ignored despite being ready to order wine and food. The restaurant was not busy. Then the waitress appeared and almost threw the bread on our table but walked away before we could order. We attracted her attention again and firstly advised that we did not want bread and still she managed to remove the bread but avoid taking our order. We sat for another 10 minutes and left. I think maybe it is hard to find friendly accommodating staff who want to work in Tejeda although we have eaten out at most of the restaurants here and never before experienced such bad service. I would however give the...

This place was absolute perfection- from the service to its simple yet superb menu. Special shout out to the chef, Nestor and our server, Leo. They made our night special. The restaurant is charming and cozy with excellent service. For starters, the bread and butter was phenomenal. The grilled vegetables were a delight. The secret pork with the beet sauce on the side was delightful. Chefs kiss. Truthfully, everything we’ve had was amazing. The highlight of the night was the dessert menu. We could not get enough of almond everything- we had to beg Leo to tell us where we could buy some for our loved ones at home. It was a night to remember. We hope we get to come back in this lovely restaurant again. What a...

We did enjoy excellent, delicious food but unfortunately encountered quite unfriendly, arrogant service personnel: one staff member absolutely refused even to try to understand what we want to order in English or any other language but Spanish: she stated clearly that, since we were in Spain, we must speak Spanish. Of course, there was no point in explaining to her that learning the sixth language because of a spontaneous decision to go to Gran Canaria for a week would have been an overkill. We were very close to leaving the place…

Before this encounter, we had thought about Gran Canaria as one of the friendliest places in the “extended” Europe.

A bummer…...

Food 0/10, would avoid this place as plague. First of all, not sure why they fried goat meat, it's hard... Then the food amount, 15 euro or something for goat meat and it's like some scraps, the meat was maybe 20% and 80% are bones... If you like snacking on bones go ahead visit it I recommend, otherwise no. (UNLESS other meals are better but would never order goat meat here) And the worst part is that the goat meat had plastic in it... And some hair Also Place was really cold inside had to wear jacket but that's the least disliked part. People and service were nice, but would not come again.

A wonderful, hidden little gem! 💯 recommend having lunch here. The food is delicious, and the portions are enormous. I’d recommend taking a few starters, 2-3 per person, instead of a starter and main course, as the starters were, in our opinion, superior to the mains in terms of taste and presentation. Good, warm-hearted and friendly service – although not speaking a single word of English, we managed 🤓 We wanted to go for dinner another time and took the whole car trip from Las Palmas to realise it was closed, so please keep the opening hours up-to-date!
