We read the good reviews so thought we would try it out. As we walked in, we wondered if the reviews were somewhat fake as to us it looked a bit run down insofar as it is very basic. So we thought we would get a drink and why not try a starter. Well we did and were so pleased. It was brilliant as well as well as the service. They explained all the dishes and gave recommendations and I even tried something new....cockles on chips... apparently something from the north. For starters we had the mixed plate of tapas from the Canaries which is made for 2. The food we had here was proper Spanish and I would definitely recommend it and definitely eat there again. Loved it. (And my photos don't do...

The Canary food dish sampler is your best choice if you're looking to try the local flavors. They customized ours for three people. It's usually a sampler for two. We also tried the Boquerones en Vinagre and the Atún Adobado, we loved it! The flavors were so deep and intense... The staff is super friendly and attentive, very generous with the bread baskets, if not enoug ask for more! Finally, don't forget to try their Bienmesabe for dessert and of course enjoy your meal with...

We came 13 people to this lovely taverna without any reservation in advance. There were no complaints just happy faces even though our kids were quite loud… We asked them to set a menu for us and it was the best meal we had during our stay on Gran Canaria. Simple but delicious and really refreshing to get locally produced food different from the hotels all you...
