There are so many restaurants in Moraira but we were looking for something a little more authentic and local than the touristic restaurants lining the waterfront. Then we discovered Katarsis in a lively square back away from the water a bit and it was exactly what we were looking for. One of the best restaurants we have found yet in our first week in Spain. The dishes are unique, borrowing from traditional specialties but the flavors are modern and amazing. The meatballs wrapped in cabbage were fantastic, and the crispy pork belly with orange was delicious. Coconut shrimp and the Shrimp croquettas were excellent as well. The steaks looked fabulous. We will definitely be back to try other items from the extensive menu. Johnny, the owner, was a fantastic host and treated everyone like old friends. Staff was great. Atmosphere was stylish but comfortable. 5 stars all the way. Can’t wait to return!

This restaurant is fantastic. I cannot rate it highly enough. The service, was brilliant. Really friendly and answered all our questions about the menu. The food… WOW! Out of this world. We had a mixture of tapas and mains. Everything was cooked to perfection. We had the garlic prawns, duck, belly pork (incredible) Mexican tortillas, burger, chicken burger and I had the rib. The rib was the BEST I have ever eaten. It melted in my mouth. I’m not one for sauces but the sauce was stunning as well. Please go here, you will not be disappointed.

My family and I have been coming to Moraira for the last 20 years and we often end up going to the same handful of our favourite restaurants. We decided to try somewhere different last night and we were definitely rewarded for it. Delicious food, knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff and a stylish environment. I would definitely recommend!

One of our favorite meals and experiences in all of Spain. Johnny, the owner is kind, gracious and knows good food. He’s Italian but his restaurant is all about Spanish food with his take on it. Every single dish we had was fantastic and made with love. You can taste the flavor and quality in every bite. And it’s very pretty, there’s a lot of attention to detail with the decor and food, as well as service all of it was fabulous. I’d give this ten stars if I could! We loved it so much we came back and tried every single dish on the menu during our 3 weeks in Moraira and Benissa....
