Atmosphere was nice, service was a bit loose though. Nobody checked on how the meal was/if we needed anything.
The monkfish skewer was lovely but the grilled squid was very bland and rubbery.
Girlfriend ordered the monkfish with clam and shrimp sauce which was also rather bland but better cooked.
After waiter came to clear table and asked how food was told them as said in review, rather bland; seemed rather uninterested and only offered us a desert menu a minute later.
Overall most expensive yet mediocre meal we’ve had while in Moraira and frankly underwhelming service. Would recommend any of the restaurants along the front on the opposite side such as eleven or Xambel instead as well as ‘Chicken and more’ as they have all been fantastic with much better food, service and prices.
Overall would rate this a 3 but I’d be lying if I said the atmosphere wasnt nice which is bumping it up...
Read moreThis is usually our go-to spot to stop for drinks, overlooking the castle and sea. Decided to have lunch as well - great decision! It was Sunday so the restaurant was busy with locals - but we managed to get a table inside. Probably best to book if you are going to eat. Ordered bread, olives and tomatoes for Starters. Pork Medallions in Mushroom Sauce and Chicken in Curry Sauce for Mains. All of the food was delicious - massive portions! I'd seen a few poor reviews about the service. I can report that the service was excellent. Loads of staff on duty, all of whom were very efficient. We didn't have to wait despite it being very busy. Looking at some of the other plates coming out - the food looked excellent, especially the pizzas and Paella. We will need to return and try some other dishes. Good, honest, tasty food. Excellent value for money - €49 including soft drinks and water. Highly...
Read moreVery warm and friendly welcome by the staff. Beautifully modern decorated interior. Fast service. Delicious food! Tip: the Paella and the grilled squid are recommended!
= 19/07/2025: I know I posted a very good review, but yesterday we were very dissapointed ! I ordered a main course Pulpo a la Parilla and I got a 'tapa's dish'. The lady came over and gave her apologies and said that the the table nxt to us got my dish. She gave me an extra plate to eat from the paella for 2 which my husband and son ordered. However, we still had to pay for the main course ! Instead of 10 euros and a bit as a tapa, it was 17,20 ! Excuse me, this is not how it works. I didn't get a main course, just a side dish!
TIP: Be careful and look what you order !! We have a second home in Moraira and won't come over again to this place. What...
