Beach Club La Carihuela - Restaurant & Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Torremolinos

The wife and I stumbled upon Monkey Beach having just eaten breakfast on our first morning, elsewhere. We ordinarily avoid anyone that tries to gain our attention as we pass in an effort to encourage us to eat at their restaurant, however on this occasion we were tempted at least to take a brief look at the menu and were invited to return later in the day. We stayed locally for 7 further nights and were so impressed with the menu that evening that we returned almost daily for either breakfast (much better and bigger than others in the high street) and in the evenings for dinner and on several days both! The portions were very generous, great value for money and the food was amazing! The service and hospitality was also outstanding, most notably that of the female host who was not only warm and attentive but also offered advice about the local area, making recommendation and suggestion when asked and generally going the extra distance to welcome. We each, had a different meal every night all of which we really enjoyed, we could only make our way so far through the menu however and we have yet to try the Mexican and Grill dishes, so have reason to...

Very disappointing! The food looks very good on pictures and that’s why we desisted to try monkey beach. We had 2 children with us, so it took about 10 minutes to find out what food we want. In those 10 minutes the waiter asked if we where ready to order 6 times! I ordered the chicken skewer with peanuts sauce, but suddenly someone came and said I should order something else, and I did. I got some chicken with noodles - and half of the dish was cold. When I got the food again, it was hot but with absolute NO flavor! Absolutely awful. Went with my wife and 2 adult children. Ordered 4 full English breakfasts. I cut a piece of the rasher and had to spit it out into a tissue. Its sour taste was a sure sign it was off. Sent it back and they apologised and sent another out but by that stage my stomach was turned. Paid and left and will not return. Do not recommend at all. See photo added with hair in the mushrooms absolutely vile. The so called chef spent her time scratching her head and picking her ear than watching the food 🤢🤢.
