Never in all my years of travelling have i ever encountered such bad service as i did with this restaurant. I'm well used to the 'slow' service in Spain but this one really took the biscuit. I sat down at the table at 2pm and I waited 10 mins to order food and i was about to leave but then the waiter came and so i was willing to give it a chance. Unfortunately i wish i had left at that point. I ordered 3 simple quick tapas - Patatas bravas, jamon iberico and chicken croquets. It was actually 35 mins later that i got my first tapas and then the rest came 10 mins later. So in total i waited 45 mins just to be served the 1st tapas. It's not like i ordered anything complicated, just fried potatoes, a plate of ham and chicken croquets. And the food was just ok , nothing worth waiting that long for. Appalling service and i wasn't the only one displeased as well. There was a family of 4 sitting at a table next to me and they looked really annoyed as well wondering when their food was coming. Just for comparison, later that night i went to a pub bar and ordered a pizza, it came out in just under 20 mins and the place was busy which is acceptable. From the moment we stepped in, the customer service was nothing short of incredible—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food? Simply wow, wow, wow! Every dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour, and beautifully presented. The wine list was equally impressive, with our choice pairing flawlessly with the meal, making the whole experience feel special yet relaxed.
For the quality of food, service, and wine, the prices were more than fair—excellent value for such high standards.
The only slight negative was outside the restaurant, where street entertainers wouldn’t leave you alone unless you paid them. It’s no reflection on the restaurant itself, but it did take away a little from an otherwise flawless evening.
That aside, Restaurante Rías de Galicia is a must-visit in Torremolinos. If you want exceptional food, superb wine, and service that makes you feel like royalty, this...
Read moreGreat restaurant with very good food and excellent service with reasonable prices. They took very good care of our party of 12. I ordered the Rosada Abodo which is a marinated then fried redfish. It was absolutely fantastic. Maybe the best fried fish dish I've ever had. Spouse ordered plain Fish and Chips, and her only complaint was that the portion size was too large and she couldn't finish it all. Well, if that's your only complaint then the place is doing something right. Overall my entire party of 12 was quite happy with the place. Some of the group even returned there separately on a different night. Overall, this place gets my HIGHEST...
