After nearly two years of living in Spain and trying carbonara across the country, I can confidently say this is the best carbonara I’ve ever had — not just in Spain, but anywhere. This restaurant is a true hidden gem of authentic Italian cuisine.
We also tried the pesto pasta and the bolognese, both of which were equally phenomenal — rich in flavor and clearly made with love and high-quality ingredients. The pepperoni pizza was so good we ordered a second one!
Since it was my birthday, we capped off the night with a pistachio cake that completely exceeded expectations. It had a molten pistachio cream center, almost like a pistachio version of a lava cake — not too sweet, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious.
To top it all off, our waiter surprised us with a complimentary limoncello shot at the end, a thoughtful and classic Italian touch.
Having traveled to Italy several times with my wife, I can honestly say this place delivers a truly authentic Italian dining experience — warm, welcoming, and packed with flavor. With over 800 reviews and a 4.9-star rating, they’ve absolutely earned it. We’ll...
Read moreQuite a dissapointing place. Because of very good ratings here, I have expected much better service and quality. Food: cannelloni were good but bolognese was just a pasta with tomato souse and maybe table spoon of minced meat. Service: we had to wait for a long time for our order and then also wait for the check - waiter seemed to forget about us. Other groups of people got free limoncello after their dinner but for us waiter did not offer it which is very upsetting since in all other Italian places in Torremolinos we were offered limoncello. Table service aka tip is included in bill. Which is not fair as tips should be left based on the quality of service. Atmosphere: this place is VERY noisy. Music from nearby bar is loud and all street musicians are eager to demonstrate their talents (or rather a...
Read moreLet's say something like this, I was in Torremolinos “Playa Carihuela” in the second week of February and I can say that the only place where I actually found pasta cooked en the time and "al dente”. A lot of the restaurants called "Italian Restaurants" they don't cook the pasta at the moment, "it's been cooked and ready since the morning and is in the fridge”. One of the restaurants I've been to told me this, they don't have time to cook pasta right away because there aren't many employees and it's very busy at dinner time. Doña Gabriella saved my days. I've been there more than once. The sympathy then was wonderful. Mandatory stop, I recommend...
