Restaurante Pizzería Italiana - CARUSO — Restaurant in Torremolinos

I've been here three times. I've probably been to 20-30 restaurants in Malaga region and this one continues to impress me. The service is 10/10 the food is excellent. I've had three different types of pizza, the kids spaghetti, the burrata (amazing), the goat cheese with pears pasta (ridiculous), the garlic bread (not what you expected), and a fish dish. My wife had her latte macchiato and it was phenomenal. Of course you have to try the Tiramisu as its probably the best thing on their menu. The first time I came there I turned down desert and the server was like "No you can't leave here without trying the Tiramisu" so he went and got a spoon of the pudding and said "Try this". So of course now every time we go we always get two portions :). The server that always helps me is so kind and hilarious. Me and my family came here for a meal after reading the reviews online. The service was good and friendly. However the food was rather awful. Everything just tasted of cream, the carbonara is also made with cream and not made the traditional way even though the owner is Italian. Unfortunately our food arrived with parts of it luke warm part of it cold and we could see the “chef” putting food in and out of the microwave.

The pasta dishes were a similar taste and quality to a microwave meal, if I had paid £9 for 3 pastas like the M&S deal for the microwave meals then I would understand that’s the quality you get for the price.

Great find on the beach. Owner was friendly and entertaining. Food was great. I had a pasta dish and spouse had a pizza.

We were a party of 12 and we were treated like family. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. The cook even came out and talked to us for a bit.

This small restaurant is basically a few people working very hard to make a living. They did a great job. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm headed back to this restaurant for sure.
