MGJAMON — Restaurant in Torremolinos

If you are looking for bells, whistles, and first class decor, then this is not the place for you. However, where it wins hands down, are the prices and the quality. What a bargain this place is. Coffe with milk, 79 cents. Coffee with brandy, 1 euro 50 cents. They serve a delicious mixto sandwich for 1 euro. This is basically a cheese and ham toastie on either white or brown. Total bargain. They have masses of other drinks and dishes too, all at cheaper than dirt prices. The staff are all friendly and cheerful and if you drop a tip into the tray next to the till they all shout "BOTE" in unison as a sort of merry thanks. Can't go wrong here. As I say, don't expect luxury, just cheap, good quality food and drinks. Just love Mc Piggy !

2021 update. Well, nothing has changed in my opinion of this establishment. Excellent quality and value. Give away prices. Things are really dirt cheap here but you don't get dirt cheap quality. Staff are still friendly and helpful. Top marks...

I visited the one in centre of Torremolinos, not busy, I waited a while at the table, no service, so I went to the counter with the menu and 10€ in my hand. The lady behind counter did not respond to my buenas, she continued to put 4 cups out she was making coffee, so I thought Ok I'll let you continue but an acknowledgement would have been polite! Then 2 spanish people came up to the till just to the side of me and she stopped what she was doing and served them! How rude! The Beach was fine the food however was not. The restaurant doesn't look like its ever been cleaned. The floors where filthy and the pigeons where landing on tables. I ordered a ham and cheese toastie which took 35mins finally when it was shouted at me to collect. The toastie wasn't toasted, and it had been cut in half with a knife that left orange stains on it. I ordered a chicken salad, the chicken wasn't chicken it was more like spam. Whilst on the beach I ordered the anchovies, what i got was three cut off peaces of salmon on toast.
