Sabor D Italia — Restaurant in Torremolinos

Not really a true Italian restaurant! The food was OK but just OK. Started with tomato soup which was really nice and a garlic cheese bread. I had Calzone it came just as a pizza, no sides or salad! The pizza bread was lovely freshly made BUT it was dry could have done with some bolognaise or tomato/basil sauce on the side. The wife ordered salmon, two fillets which again were well cooked and nice but had a plain salad and chips! Only vinegeret or oil to accompany. Would have been better with option of baked potato and maybe some balsamic vinegar or an Italian dressing. We had a bottle of Mateus with the meal @€15 and the night finished with Bollywood music playing in the background! Says it all really. Can’t compliment Sabor D’Italia enough, Reena and her family were warm, friendly and extremely welcoming to us. The food is outstanding with a varied menu, we ended up eating here every night of our holiday as my daughter is an extremely limited/fussy eater and she absolutely loved the food here too. Reena remembered my daughter’s order from our first visit and it was ordered as we sat, meaning my daughter wasn’t left waiting and hungry and we could enjoy our drinks and look at the menu at leisure. Service is very friendly and attentive, they are flexible when it comes to adjusting their pizza toppings to your taste, which is lovely. However, I am skeptic when it comes to the quality of their mozzarella cheese on their pizzas, it's a white floury thick liquid more like a white salty bechamel sauce over the tomato base, and the colder the pizza gets, the more floury it becomes in taste and texture!
