TABASCO GRILL — Restaurant in Torremolinos

We strongly recommend you to avoid this restaurant! We were looking forward to our dinner on the first night in Benalmadena but were unfortunately hugely disappointed with the extremely poor food and very unfriendly reception at Tabasco's grill. We have generally had good experiences with the food and restaurants in Spain, but Tabasco's grill was really a let down. My wife and I ordered beef fajitas and rump steak from a waiter who was unfriendly and dismissive from the start. My wife is unfortunately gluten intolerant and we therefore had some questions about the dishes on the menu. The waiter already had a nonchalant, unfriendly and dismissive attitude when ordering the food, but unfortunately we still decided to eat there. Drinks and food were served quickly but it turned out that the meat in both dishes was terribly tough and tasted old and reheated. The piece of rump steak was impossible to cut through with the cutlery so after half the portion my wife gave up. We told the grumpy waiter that the meat was inedible and I also asked him to try cutting through the piece of meat. Without a word he went and got the bill which we paid and left. Most hidden restaurant but the best food ever. We visited on multiple occasions during our visit as it was easy and suitable for our 18month old. They have a good selection of foods, ranging from carbonara, to tacos and steak. The carbonara is to die for!! The best ever. Our son even stopped eating his food to finish off mine. The staff go above and beyond everytime, offering you complimentary shots at the end of your meal every time. The drinks are also made to perfection every time. We recommend the strawberry daiquiri! Super delicious Mexican food! Both the meat and vegetarian dish were amazing. We went around 6pm and were the only customers there, so it was very relaxed and calm. Also not an expensive place, definitely underrated - they should have more customers, worth checking out one street off the main tourist route along...
