Flavour International restaurant — Restaurant in Torrevieja

I am simultaneously amazed and horrified that this place has a 4.8 star rating. Who is going to this restaurant and giving them a good review for the food?!?!?! Sure, staff might be welcoming. But this is a restaurant. The job of a restaurant should be to make good, tasty food. The food here is truly dreadful. Chicken wings that were labelled spicy with no spice whatsoever. Bland battered prawns. Dry chicken, even with a sauce. Boiled vegetables with no flavour. Panna cotta with 'fruit' that somehow was chunky, and the fruit was just jam. 'Cheesecake' that was actually just a flan (one of the least bad things of all the things served). Mashed potatoes inedible. Like they were instant, made with powdered milk and margarine, and then something else was added to try to either try to mask that, or add some sort of flavour, that somehow made everything worse. Honestly, mashed potatoes are simple and easy to make and usually delicious, and sadly I could barely eat a bite of them.

Wish I hadn't wasted my money here. I should have known better from a place that offers Mediterranean, Spanish, Tex mex, burgers, pizza, pasta, and Indian food, that none of it would be good.

Sorry to the people that work here, who truly are friendly and cheerful. That's the only good thing that can be said about this place. Except maybe the papadums with mango chutney: they were good. Best part of the meal besides them was the water, which you can, and should, get for free at home.

I am very surprised why this place has such a high rating. My parents live here and they went there few weeks ago for dinner. They told me not to go there because they cheat their guests if they see that you are from abroad. I went to see for myself and it is true. There is a board on the street with a "menu del dia" for 10,90e-11.90e. Two courses plus dessert or coffee. I sat down and asked for a menu del dia. I was given two menus, one for 16.90e, the other for 14.90e without a drink/dessert. I asked why, since there is a different information on the street. They did not answer and gave me another card for 12.90e but still without a dessert/drink. They pretended not to understand English even though 3 different waiters approached me, so I left. The dishes may be tasty, I dont know, but for such cheating and ripping off tourists who may not know how the menu del dia works, I strongly advise to avoid this place! I will add that I was there during the hours when the described promotion is valid, and I still could not use it. There are plenty of places around with Spanish cuisine that treats its...

The waiter invited us from the street, I usually resist this but he was so cool and confident we quickly found ourself at the table ordering our dinner :) The restaurants interior design is nice and the staff knows your every wish before you ask. This kind of customer care and professionalism is rare. It was a pleasure and a unique experience to have dinner here. I ordered steak and even the chef came out to discretly look over my shoulder if I'm satisfied, [ I haven't noticed it, my finacé told me :) ] and of course the food is awesome and the portion is big, we got so big dish we had to take away a part of it.
