Heard good things about this place. What an experience. Starters we re ok, everyone happy, the wife of Pepe very nice. Then it all kicked off. I ordered T bone, like I did 11months earlier, which was nt great, but I thought, could of been a one off, it wasn't...... Now honestly I'm no food critic or Michelin star chef myself, but seriously my steak knife could nt get through this T bone, never mind my teeth. My wife plumped for mixed grill, which looked OK, but I literally could not eat this steak, then all hell broke lose, Pepe I believe he s called, went bananas, bringing me out raw meat in a plastic bag, proclaiming he only buys the best meat, my wife plate was snatched away, without her taking a couple of mouthfuls, then, we were thrown the bill, for food we did nt eat, 60 euros and told cash only, so my wife was told she had to go to the cash point. We paid, and at no point we re we after a free meal, but the attitude, pure aggressiveness of the chef/owner has only just registered in my head. What ever happened to customer service, so please, if your steaks un edible, just grin and bear it. I ve read all the reviews and most people have had a good experience there, I hope he was having an off night. I d really like to hear the owner/chefs response, bearing in mind we paid full price and did nt get to eat...

Arrived early (didn’t book) and the owners wife told us to come back at 18:00 as her husband was out shopping until then and she didn’t have a key to open the door to let us in. Came back at 18:10 and it was still shut, but eventually opened after 5 mins. We were the only people in there for the whole night. Starters were standard, off the shelf meals (mussels, soup, prawn etc). Then we ordered 2 T’bone steaks, a fillet steak and 2 mixed grills. Food eventually arrived after nearly 1 hour as owner kept going outside for a cigarette. Got 2 steaks, which were obviously not fillet, and very grissly, and one T’bone, but didn’t bother querying as we were all very hungry. The meat was overdone and not cooked as asked for (very rare and blue) and had an initial odour of ignition fuel from the grill. Chips were frozen chips, not potatoes, and the vegetables (if you can call them that) were a spoonful of frozen crinkle cut carrots, broccoli and cauliflower on each plate. Owner was sat with his wife on table next to us all night watching tv and looking bored. However, he poured us exceptionally large glasses of whisky and wine. €200 was very expensive for 5 frozen meals advertised as the best steaks around....

Too bad we just tried it because I would have gone there a couple times before we have to leave. Their St Marco tart was very good. The mix grill was ok but the steak filet was to die for. I've been to some of the best steak houses in the world and this steak was on top with the best ones. The service was fantastic, and they are fantastic people and care about their food.
