Mizu — Restaurant in Torrevieja

That’s insane, we came to have a celebration dinner, once we were sat at the table one of the waiters kept bringing us the wrong check turning it into a joke. We tried being nice with it, but honestly we literally didn’t even order yet, yet we received another’s table bill twice. Okay skipping forward. Once we ordered we were supposed to get our starter as everyone else usually does at this place, but this time nothing came. After our first meal was brought to us, we had to ask another waiter about the starter and only then did they bring it to us (like 10 minutes later). The food was good, not even going to lie about it, however once we were almost done eating we saw a literal mouse picking from the couch we were sitting on. I am the type of person who is extremely afraid of rats and everything close to it, so when I saw what was alive on the same couch as I was sitting at I jumped right away and obviously lost my appetite. When the workers came up to us they started moving the couches, but claimed they hadn’t seen anything and showing us that they didn’t believe us saying things such as “it couldn’t go anywhere”, “there’s no proof” etc. we paid our entire bill and left right away because we literally had no reason staying there for any longer (we didn’t even wait for change). Im extremely disappointed in the service and the way we’ve been treated today. We came in a really good mood, but sadly left extremely shaken and upset. Also not really trusting that the workers didn’t see the mouse when moving the couches because our friend that actually speaks Spanish, said that they were clearly talking about the situation and admitting the fact that there indeed was something. The first impression of the restaurant was really good, beautiful interior decorating and comfortable seats. We got two food menues, but only one Sushi menu and no wine list. We ordered the Pollo de Thailandia dish, 3 different Maki rolls, a beer and a glass of white wine. The Pollo de Thailandia dish came really fast. The dish was supposed to be a bit hot with 2 chillis next to it, but had no taste of chilli or any other Thai flavors at all. (E.g. chilli, coriander, lemongrass, ginger) We found it really strange that the dish was served without rice. The sushi rice in the Makis was very soggy and too sweet. The service was very poor through out the whole meal. We had to wait a good while before beeing seated, even though it was not very busy. Did not get the menus. They forgot to bring the beer. It was difficult to call on the waiters. At the end we tried to comunicate to the waiter what we thought about the meal. She did not seem to take any notice at all...she was just laughing and asked if we wanted dessert. The food is expensive for...

Celebrating my birthday at Mizu. The venue was lovely and we opted for the 98 euros package for six people. The food portions were generous and the beef tieban and roasted duck was tasty. Our mistake was indulging in too much sushi leaving us feeling too full with rice based dishes. Despite having children at our table eagerly anticipating robot service we noticed the robot often visit other table in 3x. Were unsure if it needs to be requested because all stuff are usually busy. While a birthday cake would be a nice but you can only choose one tea or cake so it was a bit sad. I feel so thirsty after 2 drinks so I choose tea no cake. Nevertheless the ambiance truly elevated...
